I've been doing my taxes with Taxes for Expats for 15 years now. They really are the only firm that I've found that understand complex international tax law. Everytime I tried to work with other firms, it became obvious pretty quickly that they didn't know how to do special forms outside of a normal tax return.

They charged me around $700 for non resident alien tax filing.
The tax consultant (Three-letter name starting with J) was so ignorant that I had to point out very noticeable basic errors to her and we went back and forth 8 times about one single field cause she kept returning ridiculous numbers...

The tax questionnaires are easy to complete and the fact that you can carry most of your information over from year to year really streamlines the process. My husband used TFXP to help complete the forms when he relinquished his green card and they made this process very straight forward.

Responsive and good value for money - My experiences so far with Tfx are good. Their website is easy to understand, they answer fast and the pricing is fair. You can feel that they are busy and have a lot of customers such that some questions they ask you could have been obtained from the information you gave them, but that is the compromise you make.
