Really fun game! Only issue is that cooking is buggy. Sometimes it doesn't stop the meter from filling up when you let go, so it's impossible to not burn food. Usually only happens occasionally but last time it happened like 5 times in a row.

Do you mean the last one on the ending list??? Or just that you're missing one ending? I got the last ending. (Spoilers for how to get it below)
Remember the scene where the thugs rob the store and you can choose one (non-Labibap) collectible to take with you? Take a tearful boy and then play as if you're going for the "happiness ending" (basically don't die before you can make the choice you need to make). Eventually you'll get to a dialogue option you haven't seen yet - you should recognize it when you get to it.
(ALSO I love your games, First Kiss at a Spooky Soiree was one of the first LGBTQ games I played, right around when I was first realizing that I was bi, so it holds a special spot in my heart, haha)
Love this game and can't wait to get it on Steam! I have a question though. Sometimes, a character will talk about a Demon or Minion that isn't in the game, and the character won't be Lying. For example, the Oracle said "7 or 4 is the Counsellor", but there was no Counsellor in my game (the Minion left was Twin Minion or something). I didn't notice there was no Counsellor in my game (lol), so I killed 4 and lost. But then it showed me the real Minion + the corrupted/non-corrupted characters and a) there was no Counsellor and b) the Oracle wasn't corrupted. Is this a glitch? Was the Oracle supposed to be corrupted, or was the Oracle supposed to say the name of a Minion actually in play? (Should be noted that neither 7 or 4 were a Minion).
Didn't take a screenshot, but if I run into this again I will. This also wasn't the first time a non-corrupted character gave me information about a Demon/Minion that wasn't actually in the game. Disclaimer, I might be missing something because I am very tired right now, but I'll leave this comment in case anyone else has experienced the same thing.
Seriously consider this a masterpiece, omg. I'll be thinking about this game for ages, and now I really want to play games like it. VERY happy you included a notes system (although I still took some physical notes too)
SPOILERS
Only thing I don't get - why is everyone putting everything in the rot13 cipher in the comments? That's the only part I can't find in the game, but there must be something to it? I found 98 files, and I @'s name, but I can't find where the rot13 cipher is (I had to Google rot13 to even understand what rot13 is, lol). If there's more, someone please give me a hint, haha.
It's been a while since I've played this, but from what I remember, you need to plan things out pretty carefully. The game IS the thing that this ending is talking about, so you're on the right track there. Play the game every time you get the opportunity (so every other day) to make sure you complete it. And fulfill Eli's requests each time.
I don't quite remember how I fulfilled the other conditions, but I think I just did things to annoy Eli (like going to work and choosing dialogue options that lower their affection) to make the world red. The only thing you should be doing to raise their affection until the world turns red is playing the game. And then, once the world is red (which might take a while), start doing everything you can to raise their affection. Finishing the video game was the hardest part for me, because it makes it take longer to piss them off.
I think the steps are the same for the "went outside" ending, except you go on a date (to the same location every time I think) instead of playing the game. So you would go to the park, for example, every other day while doing everything else to annoy them. And then you'd raise their affection when the world turns red.
Let me know if this works! If it doesn't, I'll try playing the game again to figure out what I did to get those endings, lol.
I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while. The art is beautiful and I especially love Sera's design - she looks very innocent and human to a certain extent (especially in the sprites where she's looking off to the side). But she's also just unsettling enough to make it immediately obvious that there's something off about her, even if you ignored any other context.
Also love Sera's character in general. They're all well-made and complex characters for being in such a short game, but I especially like Sera.
10/10 definitely going to check out your other games at some point!
Love this game so much!!!! Eli is so cute and I love (and also hate) them lol. 10/10 would date them again (except not in real life because Please Eli I need to earn money idk how to explain capitalism to you babe)
Also I like the easter eggs towards your other games (the plushies/figurines in the display case in the player's room are characters from your other games I'm guessing - I at least recognize the characters from Mistrick haha).
any tips for the "when the darkness threaten to consume all, you went outside and felt loved" and "when the darkness threaten to consume all, you looked at a screen and felt loved" endings? Can't figure it out lol.
Spoilers below
I keep getting either the ending where our apartment is set on fire, or I get the one where Eli makes a man explode into "confetti".

sorry, it's been a long time since I've played this game. I remember this part being annoying but I don't remember exactly how I beat it, so details could be off. You just kind of have to play it over and over until you can do it fast enough, I think I got through that by like the skin of my teeth. If I remember right, the spider keeps moving when the dialogue box pops up when you pick up the shard, so you just kind of have to get through the dialogue box as fast as possible and start moving IMMEDIATELY after it closes, and not get caught on anything while you're running away. One moment of getting stuck will kill you so just have to know your path super well and can only really do that by trying it over and over again.
good luck.
I also love that all of these stories are interconnected. It's such a cool little world???? "Take more pictures", "ask it what it wants", and "put a hand to the glass" are my favourites :)
KINDA SPOILERS BELOW???
I love the acolyte too lol, they're great and I'd love to read more about them and the hunter-turned-bear-conservation-enthusiast getting together
If you still want to know, here's how. (Spoilers below for anyone scrolling through the comments before playing lol)
Ending 1: when Bonnie gets tied up and Carnation comes to save her, tell Carnation that you're going to stay with Hunter.
Ending 2: You know the room where the woman with the mirror is, who won't move for a really long time? At the end, when you've placed all the memory shards, DON'T go in that room. Go straight to the front door and leave instead. Going into that room first gets you ending 3.
Oh this is so cool!!! I love the idea of choosing what your relationship with Laina is at the beginning, and how the story changes so much depending on who Laina is to you. I've love to see more interactive fiction with this mechanic tbh, because it changes the story in really cool ways. (spoilers below)
I love the detail of how you save your sister versus saving your crush. The detail about your sister listening to you and not moving forward, versus your crush, because of how much your sister trusts you, is really cool. I also like that you can't save the acquaintance. It makes sense that you can only survive that encounter if you take your time poking around the church, because you wouldn't really have a reason to worry for/chase after an acquaintance (when the player really only joined Laina for their own interest in this route). Overall, good job! Short and fun game :)
Pretty interesting concept - I don't think I've seen a "reverse tower defense" type of game before, and I think it would be cool to see a more fleshed out version of this type of game. I think adding some instructions would be a good idea, because I wasn't really sure what to do at first. Once I figured out that I could click the button to make something happen, I wasn't sure what the goal was (especially since this game kind of a reversal of the typical tower defense).
Can't wait!!!! I've been a fan of your games for ages - think I first played Saccharine on DeviantArt and then played the rest of the games you had on there because I adored that one so much. And IYTH was absolutely amazing - definitely your best game yet - so I'm so excited to check this one out and glad you're still making games!!
Not totally, but you can skip the majority of the beginning - skip intro (which is probably obvious lol, I'm assuming you already do that) and then when you get to the cutscene when you leave the train, select the option that's like "don't have time to talk" and you can at least skip the majority of the cutscene once you leave the train. Not sure if you're still looking for an answer to this if if this was a feature that hadn't been added yet 2 months ago, but hope this helps.
