An update on my review (apparently the last one). I did hear from the police that Candle and Scent were investigated but it was the Dark Web so the rotten scoundrels got away. A warning to everyone to check on reviews before ordering from any Company.

Not even worth one star, but no option. I tried to order on my credit card but when I had received no email from them as stated, and tried to contact them without success, my husband used his credit card from a different supplier to order.

When no goods arrived I looked at reviews and realised I and many others had been scammed. My credit card provider telephoned me to say that someone had purchased goods with my card, and stopped my card immediately. My husband then telephoned his and that was stopped also. So we went on holiday to the Algarve half board (fortunately) but would have been better all inclusive, without any credit cards and no hire car as advised not to use direct debit for this in case of accident.

I contacted branche d'olive who supply the room diffusers I wanted and they had no idea this was happening. I then contacted ActionFraud and I am now in contact with the Police.

This must have cost the credit card companies huge amounts and I am amazed that the website could not have been shut down immediately. I told my credit card company who I thought was responsible on the 21 September. I also telephoned E-bay as I saw a pop up, who said it was not a company they dealt with.

I just hope that whoever is responsible for this is brought to justice and never allowed to start up a company in their name. It is despicable, and has caused so much inconvenience and worry to so many.

I've since been contacted by the police regarding my complaint to Action Fraud about this site and the website is no longer in service. Prosecution proceedings are going forward :)

Like everyone else tried to purchase on 2 cards then got defrauded on both cards a few days later. They used it on asos. Natwest refunded my partner the same day but Barclays my bank was a nightmare.

do not use this company. I too tried to purchase a product, card did not work and a week or so later my card had been fraudulently used to purchase over £500 worth of goods including PayPal and a very thoughtful donation of £2 to the rspca! thankfully credit card company has picked it up and knows exactly who the fraudster is - won't be long before arrest is made I'm sure. Can believe how many others have also suffered, this behaviour is abominal

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Within days of unsuccessfully trying to purchase some items we experienced 3 cases of card fraud on the cards we had tried to use, an attempt to open a bank account and an attempt to open a Vodafone account.

Absolute con artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

If you have ever tried to buy anything through this site, get a free credit report through someone like Noddle or Clearscore, to make sure that someone hasn't tried to take out credit in your name. Although I was fortunate enough to sniff out the dodgy website after trying to buy and cancelled my credit card, I have now discovered that an attempt was made to take out credit through PayPal. After some tortuous attempts to contact PayPal fraud dept (not an easy thing to do), they are going to contact Noddle and advise them that this should have no impact on my credit score. What a faff!

Same happened to me, unsuccessful candle order resulted in £70 transaction for a gents clothing company in Manchester. Thankfully I noticed it today and card has been cancelled so they can’t use it again. Website has been removed. Disgusting people in this world!

I am having trouble being refunded by RBS, they are saying that because I didn't report the card lost or stolen at the date of the transaction then I am responsable to the transaction and have to pay it. Can anyone advise if they have the same issue with their credit card company, The goods were delivered and signed for by a man in London.

Experience the same as others - card wont go through - tried two cards - neither would work. Then discovered these reviews and cancelled both cards. This week found out someone has opened a bank account in my name - this could be a coincidence, but don't use this company - now I look again at the website it is definitely fishy.

It happened to me too.. Tried one card, got declined, tried another card and the same happened. Didn't think anything of it until my husband checked the joint account and realised there had been a transaction for some 'young drivers insurance' Neither of us are young drivers so definitely something weird going on.

Cancelled the card and called the insurance company both contacted their fraud departments.

Received a package a few days later from Amazon, sent to my address, but nothing I had ordered. Realised the other card had also been hit and had to cancel that one too.

Not great that Google has it under their Shopping banner...

I too was scammed for £950 from this so called company..with so many bad reviews and people reporting it i honestly do not know how it is still online! Disgusting! Avoid this company!😠😠😠

FRAUD!!! this company is fraudulent and is gathering your bank details. If (like me) you mistakenly tried to make a purchase cancel your card immediately. This mistake has cost me hundreds of pounds and I now have the hassle of trying to get my money back.

Tried to order a £11.99 candle from this website and I then received an email telling me my payment had been declined. A couple days later I then had £163 spent fraudulently on my account on car insurance companies including M&S Car Insurance and Budget Insurance ( I don't even own a car!) Avoid this disgusting website at all costs! If you've placed an 'order' with them, ring your bank and cancel your card immediately!!

If I could I wouldn't even rate this company one star. All cheap, they don't email with a confirmation, they don't send you the items and they fraud your account. Do not order from here. Go somewhere else, it may cost a little more but it would be more reliable as I have never knew a company so bad in my life. Absolutely awful.

Yes it's very easy to be taken in by this authentic looking web site. Without going into all the details as they are very similar to previous reviews I was also caught out.thankfully I only tried one card which was fraudulently used by these scammers 4 days later two transactions went through but the next two were declined by my bank the first two have now been credited. I cannot understand why this web site is still up and running.I have reported details to Action Fraud and I urge anyone who has been caught out by this so called company to do the same, they need to be stopped ASAP.

Card declined for order payment. 3 days later £3400 tried to be spent on card. £1400 successfully . Card now cancelled and new on way.
These people need catching.

Reported to the police!!!....... since I tried to buy candles on this site which was declined for no reason, nearly £5000 on my card. luckily they've got them on CCTV. lets hope the police trace these people. disgusting. don't get scammed by it. Jennifer... the kids are in on it, the man said it was his daughter - they went to Scotts in Mayfair with 6 friends, ran up a bill over £3000. I want to see them in arrested and in court.

Do not use this site it is a scam .Ordered a yankee candle for 11.99 and got charged £412.00 . Good job I blocked my account they tried to to take another £435.00 out of my account. How do they get away with this it's disgusting! !!!

Tried to order my wedding favours and they declined my card. 4 days later and my card has been charged £300 in items from top shop, foot locker and vodaphone!! FRAUDULENT!!!!!!!! Wish I read these comments before trying to use the website. I now have a new card on the way!!! SCUMBAGS!!!!
