NIGHTMARE COMPANY - scammy service

NIGHTMARE COMPANY - DON'T BUY HERE. Writing a review here to warn other consumers. Unfortunately, I have a similar experience to reviewer Nellie Tran. I went to Carpetright thinking I'd pay a little bit extra for good quality, but they offer NIGHTMARE SERVICE. In my case, I went to the store with a clear, correct map.

-I was told by the old male employee he knew what he was doing, even after I questioned if the measurements he put in the form were really correct. I sensed some sexism here perhaps (old men, younger woman). He told me really it was correct.

-Day of laying the floor: the guy who was supposed to lay the floor figures out the order was placed incorrectly (too short), gets angry and just leaves. He also had with him a strange, unwashed looking woman. Very poor service after a month of waiting for the floor and paying 100-s of euros for the floor laying service.

-When I call carpetright, they claim 'people working in the stores are not trained to know what they are doing when ordering floors, it is your responsibility'.

-So, I went ahead and ordered more floor (since it was too short and not sold anywhere else). This piece of floor just randomly arrives one day; I got a message a few hours in advance after I ordered it weeks ago, and was lucky I was working from home.

-Carpetright does not offer any form of refund or other compensation for this situation. Are reude in person, and often unreachable by phone/email.

-The people who lay the floors offer poor service: the floors that were laid were not laid straight (waterpas/aligned), cut off sloppily (no straight line, but dents).

It's overall just really expensive for really really poor service. Don't give them any more money, but just order a floor from a competitor and lay it yourself or find someone good - much more affordable and reliable. They sincerely deserve to go out of business. Carpetright I hope no one buys from you ever again.

The carpet I ordered has still not been delivered.

On July 10, 2025, I placed an order for a carpet through your website and chose in-store pickup. However, the item has not yet been delivered, and I have not received any updates regarding my order. When I visited the store to inquire, I was told that they would call and try to speed up the process. They also mentioned that deliveries might take longer due to the summer period, but it has already been more than eight weeks.
My order number is: eCRNL1000082113.
So far, I have not received any calls, emails, or updates whatsoever. In the confirmation email I received after placing the order, it was stated that *“As soon as your order is ready at the selected store, we will contact you by phone to arrange a pickup date and time. The delivery time depends on the items you ordered.”* However, no one has contacted me in any way.
This was supposed to be the first product I purchased from your store, but unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing.

Once again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope you will enjoy your new carpet.

No support provided after wrong installation

Less than a year after installation, the carpet started to fray in the area under the front door. It's clear that it wasn't installed properly. The edge that goes under the door wasn't glued down or secured correctly. I called the Carpetright store and they asked me to send an email with photos. I just wanted to know if it was under warranty and, if not, whether they could fix it—even for a fee—before it gets worse. They replied to the email saying the manager was on vacation and that they would get back to me once he returned. Weeks went by and nothing happened. I sent another email asking if the manager had returned. No reply for over a month now...

Not at all customer-friendly

We were told the carpet would be delivered separately from the actual installation. This is already not very customer-friendly, since we then need to be home twice. They couldn't tell what time it would come when we made the appointment, but we were told the day before via SMS. However, if we wanted to choose another date because the time didn't fit with our work appointments, we had to do this 48h in advance, otherwise they would charge a fee. So basically I need to keep my agenda empty for an entire day, effectively taking a day off, just to receive a carpet. I can see why this is good for their logistics, but it has nothing to do with putting the customer first.

Curtain order delayed indefinitely

Update: Customer service reached out seeking further details about my case, but has not bothered to send me any updates in the 2 weeks since. The company refuses to provide updates on our order and does not offer us the option to cancel our order even though the order never got sent to the supplier. An extremely irresponsible company with complete disregard for the customer.

We ordered curtains from Carpetright in March. Unfortunately, our experience with the company has been extremely disappointing. Apparently our order didn't go through from the company to the curtain maker. There was no communication to us that this had happened and that the delivery of the curtains were going to be delayed as a result. They placed the order again and again the order did not go through. Again there was no communication to us. The company refuses to provide us a delivery date, refuses to give us back our deposit (a significant amount), and has a history of not keep their customers informed. Truly horrible company with complete disregard for their customers. Strongly do not recommend.

The staff helped me pick the carpets quickly. Further, carpets were delivered in the timely manner. The carpets are of good quality for relatively normal price.Everything was as agreed with the staff. The whole process was fair and pleasent experience.

Service was off high quality

Service was off high quality. They properly calculated the required amount of PVC panels and stored them for a few days until I was able to move them. They even helped me with loosing it to a car. The PVC panels of great quality, I easily mounted them and they look great.

Poor Communication

Poor Communication. There was a lack of coordination between the different processes and personnel involved in delivering a good service. I had to chase a lot, phone, ask questions, and the sales people at Carpetright Leiderdorp were incredibly condescending. I wouldn't go back there for future projects, there are plenty of other outlets which do care about their customers.

Slechte Communicatie. Gebrek aan coordinatie tussen sales/stofeerders/finance/klant. Als klant vind ik het vervelend als een organisatie niet proactief is in het uitleg van een timeline/proces. Sales waren ook behoorlijk zelfingenomen als ik vragen stelde.

Is not every winkel u enter and get a very worm welcome. The reception was soo welcome by the workers i met. The men that came to do my floor are friendly, the Laminate was goed koop and was perfectly done. Any one that enter my house most past coment on how beautiful it is. Thank u carpet rifgt.
