Situated in the East End Historic District, this relaxing experience is neighbor to Galveston’s downtown shopping district, and is a frequent witness to departing cruise ships, en route to intriguing destinations. An assortment of fine dining, live music, art galleries and cafés are also minutes away.

It’s fun staying in a historic place in a historic part of town that’s so close to and walkable so many things.
We couldn’t adjust the room temperature so our room was very cold. It would be helpful to have a couple of towel racks and a shelf over the bathroom sink.
Lovely older home in Galveston - nice room just very ‘European’ re room size, but lovely, lovely.
Nice coffee bar in the hallway as well!
Thank you!
Our stay was fine for a quick overnight. However, I had to call for a code to get in as I never received the check-in email. The bed was soft and the pillows lumpy, the ensuite sink didn't drain and the only house amenity was a Keurig with flavored coffee and tea which was not enough selection for all the guests. The location is good for cruisers as the apartment house is located fairly close to Harborside Drive. We would stay there again, but for just an overnight.
Temperature is centrally controlled so we couldn't adjust it at night when we got hot. Fan squeaked on higher settings so we couldn't even use that to try to cool down for sleeping. The outdoor exchange for the AC was right outside our window and not quiet. Needless to say we had a rough night. The room was clean and nice. Located within walking distance from the Strand so that was good.
The arrival process was easy as it was entirely electronic, but we were not sure that we had arrived at the correct place. The house is not well marked or designated as a hotel vs private residence. Everything smells of mold and the house has cameras placed (very obviously) everywhere; which was a little disconcerting. The room was very small, but usable and reasonable for the nightly cost. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, but the fluffy pillows went flat through the night. The room was kept very cold, but with no thermostat control. The bathroom has very little in the way of toiletries if you plan on taking a shower. The plumbing is all exposed and appeared to be leaking a brown rust on the bathroom floor. If it weren't for the humidity we would have forgone showering. We come from Phoenix and are used to poor pedestrian infrastructure, but Galveston takes it to another world of ridiculous. We routinely had to drag out bags across grass and mud or walk through the street. So, while you *can* walk to the port, it ain't for the feeble. Overall, probably would stay at a different hotel next time which is closer to the port.
I really don't like to leave a bad review for any reason, but I will give you my honest opinion.
My wife and I booked a room at this establishment. We were going on a cruise the next day and decided to drive over and spend the night so we wouldn't be tired from the 5 hour drive. The ambiance of the house was exceptional. The room was nice and clean and cozy. Really the only thing wrong with the room was the bed. We ended up pulling all of the sheets and comforter off of the bed and slept on the floor. The mattress was so soft that it wasn't even comfortable to watch the television. At 4 in the morning, when we finally gave up and moved to the floor. We were finally able to get a couple of sleep. The location was a very quiet neighborhood, the location was very close to the Strand. We tried contacting the property manager to know avail. I would strongly recommend that you pass on this property, for the cost of staying here, you can stay in a hotel with more amenities and a front desk person if you want or need anything.
The house was easy to find, access, and enter. The bed was soft and inviting, clean and enjoyable. The room size was cramped and sparse, and created less than the best movement and storage options. For the purpose we needed it to stay for one night before a cruise allowed us to dismiss the inconveniences. We enjoyed the stay and the convenience to the restaurants in close walking distance. Thank you.

We had a good experience renting a room in this house. The negatves were 1. there was no exterior signage on Market Street to identify the property. I questioned if we were at the right place. 2. We did not find a handicap ramp to enter from Market Street. I wasn't sure if the property is ADA compliant. 3. The small trash can by the coffee maker was overflowing. We had to get our own cup to refill the water so we could have coffee. On the positive side, 1. it has a fantastic location near the Strand and close to the cruise ports. 2. It is an excellent value.

Fantastic stay! Comfortable beds and very clean! Will definitely stay again!
Loved the location and easy access to the Strand and great cafes nearby.
Property was very clean and whilst the room was a bit on the small side, was overall very comfortable.

charming, updated, and budget-friendly. The location is perfect for staying before or after a cruise. Easy check-in and out and very clean. There is a nice community coffee station and Netflix in the room. The only negative was our bed seemed to be higher at the foot and couldn't adjust the air. Other than that it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Another couple traveled with us for a cruise. The place is similar to a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. The place was just ok to lay your head for the night. Cons: You cannot control the temperature for the air conditioner- we slept with no covers and it was still too warm in the room. There is a ceiling fan, but the ceiling is high so it wasn’t much help. The hot water in the shower ran out in about 10 minutes in both rooms. Pros: Location is close to cruise terminal and easy to find. Great directions and the code for the door worked without any problems.

Very comfortable bed. Actually, very nice compared to the hotels & it doesnt smell.like mold. Sadly, AC in the summer leave you warm @ night. (We bring our own personal fan.)

The location and price for a holiday weekend were unbeatable! Staff was friendly and check in was a breeze Booked as an overnight transition from a stay on the beach in Bolivar to a night in Galveston. Our room was spacious, quaint, very clean and comfortable. The street noise was very minimal. Keep in mind to pack coolers appropriately for food, as there is not a refrigerator or microwave in the room. However, it is walking distance to The Strand with multiple dining, shopping and entertainment options! Two thumbs up and will certainly recommend to friends and visit again . 👍👍

Second time staying here this summer and this has continued to be a great choice. Cannot beat the central location. Very clean and coffee machine a nice touch. Cannot beat the value at this price.

Only good it was clean. Air did not work had to get up several times at night to take cold shower just to get a little sleep I talk to two other guests next morning they said their air conditioning was terrible . There is no ice machine no drinks or bottle water . It’s an old house their fancy name is a joke .would avoid at all cost .

Nice little house. Room is smaller than it appear when we looked on internet but it was nice. Room was clean except under the bed where it was super gross.
