Loved the Butter Chicken Party!
Love the Butter Chicken Party! The food was fantastic, the instructions were easy, the timings all worked and we were really please for this special birthday dinner at home.

We ordered the Indonesian Seafood Curry by Rick Stein.
The starter of Thai fish cakes was amazing with a great dipping sauce. The main of Seafood Curry with a generous amount of fresh fish and prawns was excellent.
Find a better courier maybe?
The DPD courier let this service down as didn't bring to our door and didn't notify us it was left down the road. However, once my neighbour had the kindness to bring it over, we were really pleased with it. I am ill and cannot go out right now, this service brings excellent food to your door! The paneer dish was definitely much better than my local takeaway.
Really lovely Taste of Padstow …
Really lovely Taste of Padstow …. and it wasn’t Rick Stein🤣
Paul Ainsworth’s meal was delicious - the Rarebit was a triumph, the pasties were small bites of delight and the little hash browns were lovely. The additional sauces and complementary dishes just added the extra zings. Loved it. The ‘desert’ was fudge - I’m not a great fan of fudge, but this was glorious, fruity and sharp with no buttery sickness that usual puts me off fudge!
After this I shall be off to Padstow to check out the restaurant!
Many thanks - especially appreciate the half price offer which made this a real steal! Full price would still have been great value!
The snacky style of the meal, accompanied the English rugby victory a treat!
Indonesian Curry
Rick Steins Indonesian Curry was a well-balanced meal with fish cakes loaded with fish and a sublime curry full of flavour.
Living in the north-west, I have never eaten food from Rick Stein before and this was an opportunity to check it out.
The menu was easy to prepare and to serve and make it look like a professionally served meal. A very enjoyable evening in, probably at a significantly lower cost than eating in one of his restaurants.
Excellent Customer Service thank you!
Have loved Dishpatch offerings for several years now, especially for gifting, and recently had reason to deal with their excellent Customer Service - no fault of theirs, entirely due to my own forgetfulness - however they sorted me out with speed, charm and grace which makes me love them even more!
Lovely home cooked meals for special occasions
I cant fault this company and idea, yes you have to do some cooking but its all explained and gives you opportunity to talk and relax with family. Plenty of high quality ingredients, had a slight issue with booking and redeeming a credit but swift response to email and issue rectified quickly.
Getting a little bland and boring
Been a customer for several years now. You seem to be going “off the boil” - maybe the prices need to rise to get better flavours and textures. It’s all getting a bit brown and vac packed slow cooked. When you started you had vibrant flavours and pop up chefs/ restaurants. Now it seems to mainly be celebrity chefs with menus that don’t change significantly.
I get that designing a menu to be shipped and cooked at home comes with challenges but some restaurants manage this much better than others.
Our local Michelin star restaurant manages to change their menu every month with the boxes containing a great selection of interesting flavours and textures with some cooking from scratch required. They also provide the provenance of all the main ingredients especially meat and cheese and we are certain they are responsibly sourced.
Not cheap but reliable quality, good for a special occasion
Very tasty food which I have enjoyed with friends on several occasions
Portion sizes are generous always enough for three
quality is excellent and the delivery always comes right on time
I know its all the extras that makes it special but all the little packages can be a bit fiddly

Great food.
Great food.. loved it. Was it better than going to our local restaurant? Maybe not.. but I could open a decent wine (£20) to go with it.
The local restaurant would charge 35£ for red ink..

Back to Front, but a delight
Unfortunately my wife caught a tummy bug, so we could not have the meal as planned. As we had arranged for guests for a roast the next day, we could not have it the next day either. BUT we did manage to eat it all, but back to front! The desert I shared with your guest after a roast and it was VERY good. More a moose than a chees cake, but a perfect end to a meal. The next day I had the main course and it was a great coconut curry. And the following day we had the starter as an evening snack and the boule Verde was VERY good.

Restaurant quality food
The box was delivered as expected and everything was carefully packaged.
We enjoyed the samosas and chutney and the slow-cooked lamb biryani was delicious with tender lamb, flavoursome gravy and delicious rice and pastry.
It was a good quality meal in the comfort of our own home

Disappointing experience
Disappointing experience.
I’ve ordered direct from Rich Stein before & had a fabulous meal, so decided to order a meal as a gift for elderly parents.
When box arrived there was cream all over everything, the cream carton had split and cream covered all the contents. It was also all over the lid, so the box had clearly been upside down at some point - DPD clearly don’t take too much notice of the info on the side of the box re. careful delivery! The cream had started to solidify/congeal, so this must’ve happened early on in the journey. Other cartons were also split, so some very rough handling must have taken place - all contents are loose in the box so the likelihood of damage is high. There was a (defrosted) freezer pack at the bottom of the box, but no insulated packaging, so not great for seafood.
Apparently the food that was still edible was delicious, and Dishpatch offered a £20 refund, but overall really not worth the risk.

Limited choice of vegetarian dishes
I chose the Goila Butter Paneer Feast as my husband is vegetarian. The box arrived on the expected date, everything was in the box, instructions were clear, and quick to prepare. The portion sizes were good, unfortunately the mini poppadoms were mostly crushed in the plastic container, which meant they were difficult to eat. Tasty though. I would like to say we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal, however whilst I did, my husband was not so keen. He did not like the taste of the dal makhani, and the butter paneer was too creamy for him. He did comment that he enjoyed the rice, chutneys and naan bread. We didn't eat all the naan bread; my daughter polished off half of one, which she enjoyed! The paneer was the best I had ever tasted; super soft, not at all rubbery. I guess I would say it was pricy compared to an Indian takeaway that requires no preparation. The experience hasn't put me off, I will try another feast in the future, just wish there were more vegetarian boxes, or something that caters for one veggie and one meat or fish eater.
