Thank you Trust Pilot .
Thank you Trust Pilot .
This is my second review on this company because I wanted to thank Trust Pilot and its community for raising alarm bells about this company. Through the reviews I could see how to get my money back via the credit card provider and I could see my experience was entirely mirrored by many more people. I have just searched for the company on Google and it appears Gents
Of Britain no longer have an active website- at least not for the time being and hopefully not under a different business name.
Thanks TrustPilot for providing a platform for genuine consumers
Scam
I really want to warn you about this company; it is a complete scam. If you receive anything at all, it will most likely be something entirely different from what you ordered. Returns are at your own expense, but you will probably never get your money back. The company is based in China but pretends to operate in the local market (under names like Gents of Britain, Gents of Sweden). Now it seems they’ve moved on to Australia under the name Gents of Australia… one can only hope that some local authority puts an end to this fraud
Not a good experience!!!
Not a good experience!!!! Ordered a jacket here for my nephew and it never arrived :( Would NOT order again
Totally disingenuous
I wish I’d seen all these reviews before I placed my order. No goods received. Two months of chasing, lots of false promises from them, I was saved by my credit card company. Their company name gave me early confidence but please don’t read anything into that. Totally disingenuous. Going forward, there isn’t a barge pole long enough for me to touch them with.
I can only reiterate what has already…
I can only reiterate what has already been written on other reviews. Total scam. They don’t send product in advert and refuse to accept package when returned at your expense. Do not buy from this company. Chinese company posing as British.
Gents of Britain - Scam Company
I was directed to the Gents of Britain web site via a link to a Haverhill Cashmere Jumper priced at £39.95 on our family secret santa group. I ordered on 26/11/12 with next day dispatch. I chased the order twice by e mail before a package arrived on 16/12/25. I was horrified on opening the package to find a 100% nylon top that had the printed image of a Haverhill jumper printed on the front and rear, it was nothing like the item pictured on the website and clearly a fake item made to deceive. I have contacted the company twice by e mail and asked for a refund and had no response. I have reported the company to my Bank and will inform other agencies including Trading Standards. This is clearly a SCAM company so I advise people to avoid Gents of Britain.
I am another person scammed by this…
I am another person scammed by this lot. They lie that they on Holland, then tell you to send the parcel back to China which costs £30 to send for a £75 item
How are they allowed to do this? Can trading standards not shut them down
LIARS AND CHEATS - STAY WELL CLEAR
Total scam. Do not believe the product descriptions or be taken in by the images. My experience - "wool coats" turned out to be 70% polyester and sizing much much smaller than European norm. "Leather" boots turned out to be plastic still reeking of solvent.
This company deliberately miss-sells and hope customers cut their losses and accept a paltry 15% refund to keep the goods.
Don't be fooled by web address - this is a fradulent operation based in China.
Such a sad world people set up businesses to con people and no interest in customer satisfaction.
Of course they hide behind the small print. If this was a UK based operation - local trading standards would shut them down. I tried emailing the Chinese Embassy - guess what - not a dickie bird back. I’m going to try and track down some authority in China to shut these rogues down. Does China’s image no good whatsoever-and heaven only help us if this type of scam is judged acceptable by the Chinese government.
Please do not buy and tell all your contacts to avoid - and watch out for alternate trading names.
Finally - why aren’t our credit card companies onto this operation and blocking transactions?
Scam scam scam.
I see these scammers are still going so leaving a review.
If you read this before purchase… avoid like the plague. Total scam outfit. See other reviews also.
If you are reading this after purchasing (as I did).
Get crap product delivered.. complain.. they will offer a discount.. refuse.. do this a couple of times and keep Emails.
I got in touch with the bank after this and made a complaint.. they have 2 weeks to respond. they do a chargeback on them. It can take up to 45 days for this to go through, however in my case they accepted the chargeback straight away and paid the refund.
FYI. All the 5 star reviews are made up.
Believe the 1 star reviews as they are real.
This is a complete scam of a company
This is a complete scam of a company. Ordered a pair of trainers which came up three sizes too small. The quality is horrendous and their customer service might as well but as well be non existent. Please save your money and do not order from this company. If I could give a minus score I would.
Chinese company posing as a British…
Chinese company posing as a British one. Item sent but not what was described or in the image.
Returns have to go to China with info about customs charges.
**** Do NOT use this company****
This is a scam business
This is a scam business. Appears British is a Dutch company operating with a Chinese warehouse. When you try to return goods it requires them to confirm with the courier and they go silent; which means the courier can’t deliver and they keep there money. I have lost £135 and courier costs of £40. Do not buy from this company.
Aweful
Aweful, dont use this company. They send the wrong items and refuse to take any responsibly and make it dificut to return. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMANY.
Just to let everyone know I contacted…
Just to let everyone know I contacted my bank, Barclays, and asked for my money returned. Explained how I felt I’d been ripped off and they have returned my money. Hopefully they got it back from this rip off company. This was debit card not credit card so pleased by this.
Ansolute horrendous service
Ansolute horrendous service , I brought some boots and as they are occasional wearing , I wore them twice in 6 weeks for about two hours in each occasion , the sole came apart at the front , I asked for a replacement as these are clearly faulty but was told they won’t as it is over 30 days , I explained that the consumer rights act says if faulty and not fit for use comes into play then the 30 days is irrelevant , after 3 emails they still told me I would have to accept a pair of boots that have a sole hanging off , absolute joke of a company , no customer services , no quality , no more orders from me .
This is a scam operation
This is a scam operation. They have Dutch address on website but operate out of China. They claim a 30 day returns policy but make it impossible to return. If you don't want to return the refund is effectively 15% of the purchase price. Do not buy from them it is a total scam.
I was regret to bit myself to purchased…
I was regret to bit myself to purchased on this web.Ordered a men scarf on 15/10/2025,it comes to 1/12/2025 and I have not received anything. Contacted the customer service for over 10 times and they always said we will check then no answer anymore. Required to cancel the order but rejected.
It was a shame to know that it is a Chinese company.
Shame on you!
Don't let them take your money
Exactly as all the other reviews say. My Mum was a victim of this company. However, YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Email them, get the evidence of them offering you silly 10/15% refunds, then get the evidence of them claiming that YOU must cover the return, and then they may refund you IF your parcel doesn't get 'seized'. Then take this to your bank, call them, or raise a dispute on the app. It is long winded, but you must not let these people get away with this.
