I signed a contract with Guesty and attended the initial onboarding meeting, which was mainly an introductory call. During this process, I discovered that the system could not directly connect to Hostelworld and Traveloka, which are essential channels for my business.
I was then advised to use SiteMinder, which would require additional channel manager fees on top of the Guesty subscription. This was not part of my original plan or budget and was not clearly communicated before signing up.
After only one introductory onboarding session and before any real setup was completed, my card was charged USD 63. I decided not to proceed further as the system was not suitable for my operational needs.
I was later informed that I could not cancel the contract, which is for a 1-year term. However, I was not aware before signing that the system could not directly connect to Hostelworld and Traveloka.
I was told that early termination would result in a charge of approximately USD 1,800. This was concerning given that I had only attended one introductory onboarding session.

Guesty advertises as Guesty Lite™ (1-3 listings): essential tools for hosts seeking peace of mind.
Advertises that Guest Lite VRBO and AirBnb integration supported.
Reality for VRBO is they don't give peace of mind as basic things like fees , while syncing for AirBnb, do not sync for VRBO. Unless you upgrade to Pro with is ~7 times the cost then they will sync fees for VRBO. So basically Guesty has the capability of syncing Fees for VRBO but have chosen not to for Guesty Lite.
Customer support puts blame on customer that they need to have read all the available documentation of the fragmented features/pricing made available. This should be a basic part of onboarding to ensure listing work as expected with integration with VRBO.

She and the Guesty team always seemed to be engaged with the task at hand (getting us on boarded) without feeling pushy.

I recently signed up with Guesty and have been very disappointed with the experience so far. The platform feels heavily limited in ways that impact day-to-day operations. For example, the WhatsApp feature is advertised but simply doesn’t work properly. Once messages are sent, they can’t be edited or deleted — which is incredibly restrictive when managing guest communication.
Overall, the system feels inflexible and not as advanced as expected for a PMS. Unfortunately, the support experience has made things worse. Instead of helping resolve issues, support has felt dismissive and unhelpful, with more focus on pushing account closure than actually solving problems.
At this stage, I’m exploring alternative PMS options that offer more functionality and responsive support. Based on my experience, I would only recommend signing up if you’re comfortable working within a platform that has significant limitations and inconsistent support.

If I could rate Guesty with a ZERO, I would. Guesty is the most glitchy software I have ever encountered. We signed up with Guesty to launch 20 properties a full year ago and they still can't get our account connected to VRBO. The onboarding specialist they assigned to use launched our first listing on Airbnb without our permission and without pricing set up. Almost immediately we received 4 reservations for peak holiday dates that were at 30% of market rates. Guesty refused to fix their mistake and cancel those reservations which cost us more than $15,000 in lost revenue. We've had one issue after another with their software/platform. It's been an absolutely horrible experience working with Guesty.
