I was on the fence about starting a GLP-1. I wanted to see if I would be approved and when I decided against it the next day, I emailed them and asked to cancel. They said they would put my account on pause so I could change my mind in the future. Great. Well I checked my bank today and they charged me 179$ without ever telling me I had been approved or that I was being charged. No receipt or anything. I have complained to the company and I expect a full refund or I will dispute it through my bank.

I had a prescription with Maximus for 7.5mg. I was going to switch for their promotion of all doses for 199 a month for tirzepatide. They charge you before they tell you what the prescription will be. They promise you can cancel before they ship. They Lie.
I contact MEDVI by email to confirm in advance by email and say I will not order if you are not going to titrate me up to the next level. I send them 3 pictures of my pill bottle showing my current script. First they say they can't see the date, I zoom in on the date and then the next email, everything else they already saw they can't see, the name, dose and pharmacy. I have all my pictures uploaded into the account as well. So at 10:52 am I tell them to cancel my order because I sense the game. The game is to give the lowest dose because giving me the higher dose for the same price is expensive. Suddenly at 2:55pm your medication is approved at 2.125mg. I call them and I have to be escalated to cancellation. So I am cancelled they say but I have to be called back in 24-28 hours by the refund department. At this point, I call my credit card company and they agree it sounds like a scam and the charge is disputed. Then at 6:21 pm I get an email that your refund request is denied because we already shipped and delivered your order. At 7:21 pm I get an email that the order has shipped notably getting a shipping notice after they claimed it had already been delivered already exposes them. I check with Fedex tracking and the status says that a Label was created 2/11/26 at 7:21 pm, we will let you know when we have your package. I have this evidence of their fraudulent scam. Not shipped or delivered but rushed so they can try to avoid a refund. I am reporting them to the FDA, the doctor to the NC medical board and the pharmacy to the NC state board of pharmacy. They will waste their money if they continue on this dishonest path by sending out a 2.125 mg prescription that they will never get paid for.
cancelling could be made easier
It’s quick and easy for them to start taking your money. But when you want to cancel, suddenly it’s not simple. There’s no option to cancel from your online account. You can’t cancel through their messaging app. You can’t even remove your payment information to stop automatic billing.
Instead, you have to call, sit on hold forever, and then endure the sales pitch trying to convince you to stay.
Pro tip: if you don’t actually want to cancel but want a lower rate, call and say you’re canceling. That’s when they suddenly find a discount for you.
Incredible customer service and response!
This company was very thorough. They didn’t just ship medication they carefully screened. My health needs an offered way more than I expected, including labs that were not out-of-pocket for me. The practitioner I felt was very knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. The medicine came right away and the price is extremely reasonable. I researched this for a long while before I reached out and I am really much more comfortable going through this process with MedVi

This call with provider was great. She was thorough and spent time to answer my questions. I am still generally upset that MedVi changed the medication compound and ingredients without notifying me or giving me a reason, and sent an entirely different compound without my approval. The provider agreed that MedVi was not supposed to do this and discussed options to prevent this from happenning again, as well as steps I could take to resolve. She was very helpful. I will be reaching out to billing and customer service to address the concerns I still have about the ordering and shipping of products not consistent. Also to discuss the lack of transparency with ingredients (B-12 cyanocobalamin, B-6 pyridoxine, L-Carnitine) and strength of medication. Changing these levels can have side effects and should always be discussed with patients when different compunds are sent. (I'm glad I read packaging thoroughly, but others may not.) However, this provider was great on this particular call. I would also like to note that there were two other appointments I had in which providers were a "no-show" and I wasted 40 minutes (each time) waiting for providers who never showed up. That was also very frustrating.
