they are the worst

the only reason I have given one star is because i can't give less. I have had an issue with my gas meter which was not seding reads. I have informed their team multiple times, each time i would receive automated response about my electricity meter working fine, even after respoding to that message explaining that I have an issue with the gas meter, exactly the same (word for word) message about electricity meter working fine would be sent out! once i switched to OTM, both my meters work, my account is in credit and i cant be happier with the service provided

Robbers

Robbers. Talktalk took over Shell for broadband and telephone. Just days before the handover they took their DD and now Talktalk know nothing about it. The customer service team in both companies are unhelpful, uneducated regarding the companies they work for and quite honestly useless. No recommendations from me.

This company has been bought out by…

This company has been bought out by Octopus Energy and miss informed them of how much my debt is and in actual terms they have added on more and a significant amount as well.

How do companies like this get away with it ?

Believe you and me I won’t give up until I’m heard and if I after start making videos for tick tok and Facebook to expose you I will.

There is a reason octopus has bought you out is because your a scam and frauding the public.

The energy giant's consumer arm, Shell Energy Retail, will refund and compensate 11,275 customers after it discovered that it had sent the wrong rates to users' meters. It meant that those customers were forced to pay more than allowed under the regulator's price cap at various times since January 2019.

Your thieves..!!!!!

Making out I owe you money when you have robbed everyone else.

Hope you don’t have a pot to wazz in when this is done.

Shell energy broadband is the worst…

Shell energy broadband is the worst customer service I have ever experienced so far. They over charged me for £64 pound, I happened to find it out by chance. When I questioned them , they gave no expectations no apology. The refund procedure will require my card details and security number, as they claim that this is necessary! Otherwise, they could not refund me without my card security number. The person on the phone line , who speaks poor English and unprofessional, it freaked me out to give him all my bank details to him. At results, he refused to refund me after I did not give my card security digits. When horrible company! Run!

Migration rip off

I was with Shell Energy broadband which has now been migrated automatically to TalkTalk. My final bill from Shell Energy was more than double what it should have been. I called Shell Energy and was promised the over-charge will be credited. It wasn't. The money left my bank account. I called Shell Energy again to be told that my account was now transferred to TalkTalk and the customer service rep was not interested in my issue. I don't know how and if I can get my money back now. I've been ripped off and my warning to others is, if you can, leave before you are migrated. This could happen to you across any of the Shell Energy services if they follow the same practices.

The funny thing is I was also ripped off by TalkTalk upon leaving them years ago and now I've been migrated back to them.

I'm not alone with this experience, there is another review also recommending to leave before migration and also another where Shell Energy have taken more money out of the bank account. There's another review about the migration team and I can also say that they were unprofessional, unhelpful and who-ever the lady was that promised to credit me lied. I won't be signing up to any other Shell Energy services again.

SCAMMERS!

SCAMMERS!! My mother had been with Shell Energy and they just with Talk Talk (one of the worse companies you will find to deal with) so we cancelled pronto. Well, should have, except the migration team are useless and dealing with them has aged me ten years.

They FINALLY said we could cancel after 7 days, having repeatedly tried to make her stay for 30. I threatened them with the ombudsman and they agreed to 7. Big deal.. We just wanted out.

They then proceed to keep messaging and calling her after I categorically told them we are leaving because of the appalling customer service but they somehow think she may want to stay.

Today, they have taken £38 out of her bank!!! They had told us not to cancel her direct debit in case they owe us a refund, which they do by the way as she has paid for a month service she isn’t getting and instead they have TAKEN money which is way more than the monthly amount she was even paying!

Absolute con artists, and by the way if you do bother to read these reviews, you will know that congratulations, due to your abhorrent actions I am now definitely connecting the ombudsman to report you.

The Shell Migration Team are the most…

The Shell Migration Team are the most inept group of individuals I have ever encountered.

The individual who I spoke with on 09 August 2024 was unprofessional, unhelpful and sullen. I wish, in the strongest of terms, to emphasise this person's complete unsuitability for their role.

I asked to speak with their supervisor and was advised that they needed to know why. After disputing that she needed to know this information, I advised I wished to speak with her supervisor in relation to her attitude.

Should Shell Energy, or whichever outsourced contact centre employs this individual, wish to maintain a satisfactory level of service they should seriously consider relieving them of their responsibilities.

I made a complaint via their complaint form which was also useless. Joke of a team.

A great Broadband provider

A great Broadband provider,
However i can no longer Recommend Them To Any one. ...Why?
..
1, Well they are now owned by Octopus Enrgy , (Also a good energy provider ) ,Which is a good thing !.
So why the "no recommend"? Well ! B'cos , 2...

2.They are no longer providing broadband as Shell Energy, But now are Owned by Talk Talk For the broadband,
Wich means you're account is owned by Talk Tallk, Sadly.!!

Its a shame, as Shell energy was a good and friendly provider with good customer service,.

I have had shell broadband for 18…

I have had shell broadband for 18 months.
My experience with shell was very bad . Connection was not good. I have called them few times but it was still same. At the end I have changed my supplier and for 20 days shell took £50.55. I have called them for explanation and refund.
A shell representative was absolutely not able to explain and was answering with this sentence that I can not say anything.
So I would like to share my experience with shell broadband. I would not recommend shell broadband to anyone.

Elmedin is a superstar

Elmedin is a superb shell energy employee. I have really struggled to get the support I needed on previous calls with Shell, but Elmedin sorted the issues out quickly and effectively. I hope his manager knows how useful he is for your customers.

To all current Shell Customers.

I was a customer of Shell Broadband Services, never had a single issue. Until Octopus allowed Talk-Talk to takeover. So, I have terminated my contract with Shell before the 15th July, after once being a customer of Talk-Talk and suffered harassment, court and Bailiffs summons for a service I had previously left & terminated my contract. (Went with Shell) But, there People are so f***ing useless they tried to extort Money from me for a service I was not using any longer, from emails to phone calls and letters. It went on for almost 2 years, that's why if you are a current customer with Shell. Leave before Talk-Talk fully takes over, as they are just going to destroy a once great service provider.

Updated review of my ( now) Talk Talk Broadband

I recently wrote a review of my experiences with my Shell Energy Broadband account and my subsequent experience after Shell Energy sold their energy and broadband service to Octopus and in future my broadband service was to be provided by Talk Talk .
Unfortunately a company called OCTAPLUS SUPERCHARGED INTERNET - PHONE - TV ( Note the spelling difference between Octopus and OCTAPLUS ) thought that their company was the subject of the review! I will state that THIS or the LAST REVIEW has or had any connection with THAT company.
I had been with SHELL Energy broadband and phone for several years and had perfect broadband and phone reception. I rec, an email from Shell Energy explaining that its energy and broadband services had been sold to Octopus Energy and my broadband
service would now be provided by Talk Talk .
Almost immediately my broadband started to disappear at all hours of the day,i\ts drops then stays off for 6 or 7 minutes before returning slowly then immediately drops again for another period of time and this repeats all day and evening until after midnight and it incredibly frustrating and annoying.
I have called the help centre several times and they can see the frequent drops on their system .One of the operatives suggested taking the front off the wall socket and inserting a plug into the inner socket which I did but it made no difference . One notable difference came the other night when an important football match was on TV where every football fan would be watching ,I managed stream almost a full movie on Amazon Prime but as soon as the match ended and people started to use there broadband again MY broadband dropped again and stayed off until very late at night before I could finish watching my movie and even then there was loads of bufffering. I suppose that this will go on until we reach the ombudsman stage, I am mystified why after years of perfect broadband with Shell why cant TalkTalk cannot deliver the same service ?

I’m disgusted from your service and…

I’m disgusted from your service and your customer support first of all you’ve tried to take money of my account I’ve had no enough funds I’ve put money in my bank next day no one try to take money out again you’ve stopped my internet then you was keep sending me bills without providing me with internet they you canceled my plan without sending me letters and now I’m receiving bill for 75£ after you charged me £90 for installation which I did myself and I’ve payed 2 times £20 for the first 2 months of service the total is about £200 for 2 months of internet and when I call customer support I was told that I’ll need to pay because I didn’t check my gmail I’m on benefits with health issues and you trying to give me heart attack shame on you

Supposed to go live yesterday ( 9th…

Supposed to go live yesterday ( 9th July ) come 6pm on the 10th still unable to connect to Wi-Fi. Call put into Shell who informs us that there is a fault and we won’t be connected till possibly the 15th July. No care that we were being left without no connection for 6 days! Looking at switching already. Would not recommend.
