Unsuccessful trace – refund guarantee not honoured
I paid for a debtor tracing service advertised with a money-back guarantee if the trace was unsuccessful. The company was unable to identify the debtor’s address and instead provided a list of three possible names and addresses, advising me to investigate them myself. As far as I am concerned, this is not a successful trace and was unusable for the legal purpose the service was purchased for.
When I requested a refund under the advertised guarantee, this was refused on the basis that 30 minutes of work had been carried out. The refund guarantee, however, relates to the outcome of the trace, not the time spent.
In my view, providing speculative addresses does not meet the standard of a tracing service and does not reflect the way the service is marketed. As a result of this, I am now forced to pursue the matter through my card provider.
I would not recommend this service to anyone who requires a confirmed address for court or enforcement action.
Read extracts of our email communication below and make up your own mind.

“Sorry Henry I can’t issue a refund as we provided good results. I can offer you an advanced trace using a more powerful system That’s £200 It takes 5 working days. It’s a more powerful system Henry.
Sorry Henry I couldn’t issue a refund because I spent 30 mins on it.
One idea is to find the son on Facebook then gather more info to filter through to the mother.
You could do it yourself or I can do it for £50.
Sorry”

I have used UK Trace's services twice now re two very differenent matters. On each occasion the response was timely and comprehensive.
A difficult trace that needed time
A difficult trace that needed time, hard work and persistence but ended with complete success. So grateful
THANK YOU!
Had to chase a long-term stalker that was harassing my family for years, we were left with nothing but a name and number. However Ibrahim still managed to track them down with a full address, putting my family at ease after these many years!
Ibrahim is a Godsend! I can never thank him enough.
I came to UKTrace.net with very little to go on — no surname, no date of birth, only a few memories and a strong hope to find someone deeply important to me. Every other agency turned me away or asked for large upfront fees. But Ibrahim at UKTrace.net listened.
He didn’t just see a case — he saw a person, and he treated my story with compassion and dignity. Without asking for payment, he helped me through Phase 1 of the search, and to my complete amazement — he found the person I was looking for.
His kindness, honesty, and humanity are incredibly rare in this field. I will never forget what he did for me. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and won’t exploit your vulnerability, I wholeheartedly recommend Ibrahim and UKTrace.net. I trusted him, and I’m so glad I did.

Best service in the world
He found out information about every single thing I needed ! 10000000% recommended best service I’ve ever used
Excellent, honest service
I had a great experience with UK Trace. They were professional, efficient and genuinely helpful in assisting me with finding my husband's friend. Their communication was clear throughout the process, and they delivered results quickly. I really appreciated their thorough approach and would highly recommend them to anyone needing help tracing someone in the UK.
Long lost person
All the information I was given was precise.
I had tried to trace the same person for a long time but always came to a dead end and was near to giving up until I had the delightful experience of this person, who not only gave me the information I needed to trace my person but gave me additional Information so that I knew it was definatly the person I was trying to find.
To say that the long lost person was shocked when I found them was a understatement as they never ever thought they would see me again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you need help with finding a friend, family or a loved one then definatly use this person.
5 Stars isn't enough...
From Canada. I gave TraceUK a name, and an old address to find a lost friend of a relative...for the purposes of settling an Estate.
Within an hour they had gotten me the correct address and even a current mobile number. I was in touch the following morning.
I cannot be positive enough.
Thanks So Much TraceUK.
Easy to use and a quick response
Good initial response but slow refunding of unsuccessful search.
One address of two searched for was found - advised to pay for advanced search for other person with £75 fee refunded if unsuccessful. Unsuccessful but fee was promised as a PayPal refund - eventually received the refund but it took months of sending emails to get it.
The cheaper option wasn't of any help
I didn't get any info more than what I could have found simply online, so was a waste of £5.00. I didn't try the £30 deal, so that might have been better. I didn't have much faith. Also, the person I was seeking was of German origin, though had lived in uk for 20 years, so probably more difficult to trace.
Great service
Great service, felt very personalised. I got all the information I needed quickly and would definitely recommend.
Thanks Ibrahim.
Great service
Great service. We simply wanted peace of mind about someone close who had become estranged, just to know where they were.
Very simple process and within 3 days we had the info.
Thanks Ibrahim, you have reassured an anxious family.

Didn't find them helpful all I'm afraid. I gave them every piece of information they could possibly require to ensure my search was legitimate but they just kept coming back for more. I just gave up. They may well respond to this quotating gdpr, but it was actually useless contacting them in the first place tbh.
