I sold and purchased a bike

I sold and purchased a bike, everything went very smoothly. Extremely automated process, sent request to bid on my bike, sent quote, accepted quote , ordered box, prepped bike , received shipping tag from upway, sent away and received acceptance and check routing info, super smooth sell. Purchase was just as smooth, reviewed pics, texted a few questions, purchased bike, bike arrived, only had to install bars, throw a little air in tires and off I went on a 30 mile ride. It’s the way, in modern e-bike transactions, rotate your old e-bike before it ages out.

Be advised and use caution dealing with Upway, an ebike buyer and reseller. Just offered to sell my bike there and got back offer well over 100% below the wholesale market. My observation is that they are really trying to steal used ebikes and resale the above market. I have used them before and while the offers are clearly below market, not nearly as low as the offer I got today. The process is a little cumbersome but if the offer was fair, definitely worth the inconvenience of their process. Buyer and Seller beware.

It took more than 10 days for the bike…

It took more than 10 days for the bike to be delivered. That is not so bad, but it is that it was not clear whether the delivery date was communicated in the meantime. Furthermore, the instructions to mount the handlebars were missing. Because of this I had to contact them several times. These are all foreseeable issues.

Great deal on Great eBike

At the time when this bike (Lectric XP 3.0 Long Range) was in stock at its parent company I wasn't able to purchase it, fast forward a few years, the new model arrived and the 3.0 was discontinued. I was able to purchase one through Upway for a great deal.

The buying experience went great

The buying experience went great. The bike was packaged and shipped in less than a week! Everything works like it should. The only issue I have are a few scuffs and a light scratch on the chain stay on the drive side. I assume this is from rubbing and movements during transport. Wish FedEx was a little more careful. Since it was a new bike I was a little bummed but hey it's gonna get ridden anyways.

First time purchase- the good and the bad

First off, love the bike, Winora Yukon 12, used, great price – like going from a Fiat to a Bentley
Dislikes:
1. Late delivery and tracking it was useless with Link provided
2. Whover serviced this was blindfolded and pointing the wrong way, headlight hanging off as the clip had broken, brake pads are rubbing on the discs, and two of the brake lever screws were loose
3. It has done 200 kms more than advertised, naughty
4. Took me the whole morning to work out how the telescopic seat post worked, why not send a manual for each bike, not costly and immensely useful if your old and dumb like me
5. For reassurances, I’ll have to get the whole bike checked out by my Local Bike Shop to prevent me falling into a ditch

Support was quick to answer any queries and offered to pay for any repairs subject to sight of invoice over 100 EUR. Would I buy from then again? Probably as I saved myself 3000 Eur on a very decent piece of kit

Hmmm

So my overall experience on the site wasn't terrible. I appreciate the fact that they have like a really nice filtering system and actually organize their bikes in a way that you can find something that matches not only your height but also what you need to use it for overall. I appreciate that there are a good amount of bikes that are discounted, because not everyone has the ability to spend a full amount of money on an e-bike that may or may not be covered by HSA (mine was not), and that there is adequate protection and insurance offered for said bikes.

The time frame in which the bike got here is really good; it was pretty fast, considering when I ordered it, and the instruction videos were helpful. Though I kind of feel like the front wheel instructions could be a bit more clear, I had to go back a couple of times cause it felt like I was missing something. I do appreciate that the bikes come with a toolkit which is super cool. Because, despite me having plenty of tools from having my own mountain bikes over the years, I don't think I have a wrench that would fit. The only thing that just kind of textured me was the pleasure of marketing emails saint after high purchased it being like "so when you gonna buy your new bike", like, I just got one, chill. 😭😂

But yeah, overall, not super terrible experience. This is my first ebike, and at the moment I'm just trying to make sure I have everything before I actually take it out to do anything because, snow. I had to get in a new bike lock because my old one's key disappeared in the move, but I greatly look forward to trying it out! From what I've read, it should go about as fast as my scooter, which is fine.

The ability to test ride the unit(s) onsite makes a big difference. My specialist/salesperson right away recognized I would need a large frame than originally suggested/riding. Looking forward to purchasing another bike soon!
