Property we booked was dirty, unsafe to sleep in due to exposed and damaged plaster and did not have window coverings in one bedroom. The host became aggressive when we phoned regarding this and we had to leave due to feeling unsafe. Vrbo have refused us a refund multiple times, stating it was a quality issue and we chose to leave. They have sided completely with the host and are unwilling to accept that the house could not fix the problems at the time.
I raised their 'Booking With Confidence' scheme and was told we were not eligible.
Customer service agents are useless on the phone, emails bounce back after a certain amount of time and they are unwilling to communicate with guests beyond scripted emails.
Avoid at all costs.
