this summer i ran:

388.4 miles (625.1k) which averaged to 5.63 miles per day

In total I spent 52 hours, 25 minutes, and 35 seconds running. despite those numbers, i didn’t feel like i ran enough since for the most part i only ran about 4 or 5 days a week and only did a 4.20 loop for the first two months and only started to increase my distance in july. next summer i want to end somewhere between 450 and 700 miles.

storytime: i took a different path than usual and ended up having to run through a mass of sprinklers gone haywire. because it was reclaimed water (unfiltered reclaimed water, i might add) i ended up spending the last 3.7 miles smelling mildew and assorted grossness mixed with my sweat. it was the second grossest thing that has ever happened to me on a run.

the grossest would be the time a horse went out of its way to try to poop on me. it failed, but from that day forth i knew how evil horses really were.

running in florida is weird b/c i don’t have to pay attention to stop lights since so few people are ever on the road in my town, but i do anyway and that leaves me jogging in place for no real reason other than a vague feeling like i shouldn’t jaywalk despite being all alone.
