A Felicitous Celestial Festival to You!

Aries (renamable) and his traveling companion spend another year stuck in a port town during yet another Celestial Celebration. After finally finding a sailor looking for a new crew member, Aries only has to prove himself to the captain and outlast the month long celebration before he can continue his quest to learn more about the Celestial Beings and the truth behind the Celestial Mark he was born with.

Things take a turn, however, when Aries meets a woman who is as desperate to leave the city as he is but remains as trapped and stuck as he feels.

Will Aries be able to help this woman return home by the festival's end while also securing passage for his companion and himself? Or will he be continually stuck, forced to dwell on the past without ever moving forward?

Celestial Signs is a visual novel about helping others and creating kindness in an unkind world. It explores the relationships between Aries and the various people that enter his life as well as his tumultuous relationship with his past and himself.

On a journey to research the Celestial Beings, Aries (renamable) is currently delayed in a port city, searching for transport.

Although shy, Aries feels deeply for others and is quick to help. He is a mage with an affinity for earth magic.

Mari has been Aries’s traveling companion for the past four years and is a free-spirited trouble maker.

They enjoy practicing fire tricks and showing off what they have learned. They are cautious of strangers but carefree with friends.

Shellsea is a mute woman Aries meets the first night of the Celestial Festival.

Although she walks on land, she cannot be away from the sea long. She is desperate to find the clamshell necklace that was stolen from her.

Silas is a sailor whose last crew came down with scurvy and quit the moment they touched solid ground.

As a descendant of the Celestials, Silas has an affinity for air magic. Although she acts informal and nonchalant, her wisdom is not to be understated.

This game acts as a character-focused prequel story to a much larger action-focused adventure. In Celestial Signs, Aries forms the party that will join him for the rest of his adventure. While Celestial Signs is a visual novel, the main story is planned to be a 2D RPG, including combat mechanics, side quests, and a deeper understanding into Aries's past and the Celestials.

This was such a charming demo,  i'm in love with the character  designs (especially Mari and Silas) and the narrative reason for being able to change the playable character name is really neat

Can't  wait to play more of this! It was a really  nice experience

Thank you so much for your kind words!

We thought a lot about how to implement the name change, so I'm glad you find it neat ^-^ We wanted to allow the players some form of customization while still holding onto the fact that Aries is an established character, not a blank hero for self-projection. The player can change his name, but it doesn't change his mother's decision and thought process when naming him originally. Instead, the player changes his response to a traumatic event and the choice affects how close he feels to his own culture and customs.

Again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! It means a lot~

I am so grateful you brought this to Jam Jam <3 every moment of the opening scene kept me absolutely locked in and I'm so glad to have met all these characters and GOD THEY'RE ALL SO PRETTY I LOVE all this art!! It is such a joy, and as an RPG guy I look forward to its future as well : )

Hey I'm the one who's grateful you and Olivia made Jam Jam!! I'll be sure to pass the compliments along to the artist <3 Once I learn how to use rpgmaker I'll be unstoppable mwahahaha
