“We are merging electronic with the soulful escapism grit,” a French duo, Parallelle, introduces their soon-to-be-released LP, ‘11th Avenue’, inspired by the moody elegance of 1980s New York jazz lounges. Presented by their Lisbon-based record label, FOLDER, the release highlights continued commitment to exploring new ideas, united by an analogue production approach, similar to building a bridge between genres, experiences, and communities.

The release focuses on the imperfect analogue sensation experience while putting a spotlight on the originally recorded sounds, fused with Thomas (Parallelle) and collaborators’ vocals, groovy beats, jazzy saxophone and trumpet interplay, while combining the artists’ signature sound with rich and authentic tones. ‘Our latest LP is all about collaboration and synergies. 'The Collab’ track with the legendary Dino Lenny is the greatest expression of that,’ marks Parallelle.

Allowing for fresh perspectives beyond the traditional route of collaboration, Sarah Bassett, a progressive fashion creative director, has played a crucial role in bringing Parallelle’s vision of ‘11th Avenue’ scenery to the artwork shot by internationally renowned photographer Dani Batistidas. Therefore, the development and the result of the visuals and aesthetics signify a full circle analogue first attempt.

Having played major stages like Tomorrowland, Pacha Ibiza, Burning Man, and Coachella, the duo brings their signature sound in a curated events format around the album release. The tour authentically pairs intimate listening sessions with hybrid DJ sets in the key markets worldwide, accompanied by bespoke production elements that incorporate the albums’ styling and emotional storytelling.

As sound and style are intervened for the artists, they teamed up with Ciaran, a newly founded high-end streetwear brand that is amassing a cult following, for the capsule collection drop. Consisting of limited edition ‘11th Avenue’ T-shirts, hats and jackets, a joint project reflects the artist’s style blended with Ciaran’s subculture-driven language.

Parallelle’s magnifying yet uplifting ‘11th Avenue’ pays homage to artists’ intention to re-open the music archive, filled with soulful heritage and breathe a new life into it.
