hoo boy where do i START. Chasing Velocity is one of those things where ive had it in progress for years but never actually posted about 75% of it aaaaaa

uhhh. fun facts about CVSonic! she’s trans. she collects bootleg merch of herself. she’s Sik’s cousin but the first time they actually met met was when she saved him from falling into a black hole. and also she’s bioengineered to be a conduit for chaos energy as part of trying to salvage some parts of Project: Shadow. (she doesn’t know that part for a long while, though.)

CV started out as a loose collection of headcanons that spiraled out into being a super huge sprawling au that i was gonna do a full comic of before realizing just how goddamn ambitious that is. especially with already having other equally huge projects i want to focus on. Sonic is Project: Shadow: The Squeakuel, Tails stays a cyborg after Lost World and also the Tornado-2 has a self-aware AI he programmed (her name’s Ripley!), Shadow is way more alien-looking and also nonbinary, there’s like five hundred OCs running around causing five hundred problems, and Sonic Forces goes so, so off the rails that i don’t even know where to start despite it being where the au idea initially kicked off

i have a tag that covers a lot of random stuff, although most of it is oc-focused rather than any canon rewrite stuff. which is a shame bc the canon rewrite stuff is where things are the most fun. also if im ever streaming you are welcome to pop in chat and go “hey tell me about your sonic au” and i will drop everything to talk about it. ive already done that Once when i had to charge my pen in the middle of an art stream and ill do it again

Which of your OCS is the most puntable

i feel like the easiest to punt physically is any of the mediamonsters because they’re basically beanbags, but Bash especially has the vibe:

Sol: stuff with loud guitars and high intensity and lyrics he can sing along to. loves Enter Shikari and that is absolutely related to me mentioning me wearing a concert shirt lmao. enjoys rock covers of songs. listens to speedcore/breakcore when Going Through It bc sometimes you need to be flattened by a wall of noise. the triad of Fall Out Boy / My Chemical Romance / old Panic! at the Disco, Camellia when in a Mood, Area 11, Marianas Trench, hi i’m Case, I Fight Dragons

TK: speedcore, breakcore (shares recommendations with Sol), happy hardcore, hyperpop, “brain scratchy music” (actual wording from my notes) - Emoticon / Furries in a Blender, Gynx, Kobaryo, Camellia, etc

Zyd: named herself after a song from repo the genetic opera and has Faster Car by Loving Caliber on her three-song playlist so SOMETHING is happening there

Monty: anything with Lots Of Yelling. Sol showed him some of the more intense Enter Shikari songs and was taken aback by monty full-on Screaming along to them. he’s a quiet guy that loves to be loud! uhhh i actually don’t listen to much Shouty music besides BECKO, Trash Boat, and aforementioned Enter Shikari, so i can’t pull out more examples for this

Orion: something deep inside me says ne listens to Go! Child. also Glass Animals and Lemon Demon. what spotify called “pov: indie” i guess. Gay People Music

Cyrus / CY: trance, synthwave, stuff they can space out to. Vocaloid Enjoyer. as a Rhythm Gamer they are duty-bound to more intense songs as well (and were originally named after Loom by Sta from the Cytus OST), but usually go for Platform 9 by Oneeva rather than Brain Power by NOMA when seeking out stuff to listen rather than stuff to play

Sik: happy hardcore, chiptune, “"video game music”“ - older Sabrepulse, Nitro Fun, Hyper Potions. completely unironic love of Wonderwall

Double: dubstep, generally any EDM that balances a slower/more chill melody with an intense drop. enjoys Fox Stevenson but his team being named after a song is non-diagetic
