Find bytes 2B 43 48 3B C8 76 08.
Change to 2B 43 48 3B C8 EB 08.

Change language

Using Steam or GOG Galaxy, the language can be changed via the game properties.

When not using GOG Galaxy, or if voices and subtitles should be in a different language, see the fix below.

Change voice and subtitle language^[4]

First, right-click the game in the library, go to Properties and then Language.
Switch language to the desired option, for instance German in this case.
Wait until the voice pack is downloaded, then go to <path-to-game>\data\packed and make copies of c_1_de.pak and c_0_de.pak in the same folder (or similarly named files in other languages).
Switch back to English or other desired language in the properties window again. Remember to rename the copied language files to their original names.
Go to <path-to-game>\data\ini.
Open ConfigDefault.xml with a text editor.
Change VoiceLanguage="English" and/or SubtitleLanguage="English" to a supported language.
Save the file and close it.

The above mentioned files are required first, otherwise the game will default to the original voices and strings for the menus will be missing if the subtitle language is changed.

Issues fixed

Can't save or load games

Fix savegame bug^[6]
Go to `<path-to-game>\data\ini\`. Open `mount_packed.xml`. Change `PhysicalPath="$(savedgames)/ELEX/SaveGames"` to `PhysicalPath="$(localappdata)/ELEX/SaveGames"`. Go to `%LOCALAPPDATA%\ELEX\` and create a `SaveGames` folder there.

Mouse and keyboard prompts when using controller

Don't press buttons early^[7]
Do not press any controller buttons when the game is loading up, before the Press Any Button text is visible.
