FOMO is a song that I wrote about social anxiety, I often want to go to events and socialize but don't have the “battery” to actually go through with plans, this experiencing self created FOMO after the fact, even when I know that having gone in the first place would have been too overwhelming for me.

Is it obvious my anxious hands are grasping at my thighs and
My tongue is tied
My throat is dry
My eyes are open wide

Is it obvious my mind is racing
Shaking breath
Heart palpitating it’s not worth it
I’m not going I’ll just stay inside

And I feel so damn annoying
I can’t even catch my breath
When there’s people all around me I become somebody less
And at times I feels so stupid but I know without a doubt
Nothing's quite as scary as the fear of missing out

Is it obvious the way the cat has always got my tongue
I’ll chew my cheek and bite my lip but try not to draw blood
Is it obvious my foot is tapping hope it’s not too agitating
The last thing that I want to do is take up too much space

And it feels so damn annoying
When I can’t catch my breath
And the people all around me make me feel like someone less
At times it feels so pointless but I know without a doubt that

Seconds turn to hours wasted crying in the shower
Over nights I don’t remember because I never left my room
And all those nights they came and went except the times with you

And you say I’m not annoying
And you help me catch my breath
