Freepik is the worst site for contributors with the current approvement process.

Freepik is the worst site for contributors.

I got rejected for the second time now, I'm not angry because I got rejected, I'm angry because freepik has the worst system I've seen:

150-200 files for first upload: I mainly make vectors, how in the world can someone scrape together 150 vectors that are all good, if you are not doing this the past 10-15 years full time, why would someone care to sell on freepik if they are selling on other sites for that long, this number was clearly not thought over

Uploading previews: for vector files, you need to upload preview files for every single file by yourself, there is literally no other site that does this, paired with the unreasonable first upload size, It's deliberatly made to waste your time

Rejection: I upload 150 files, previews, everything for hours (for the second time :)), are you serious that you couldn't approve anything from 150 files, I'm already selling all of theese on other sites, like???
And the worst offense, that all I get is an automatic rejection email without any explaination.

I'm not mad because I got rejected, I'm mad because your system is clearly made by incompetent people, or worse, it's specifically designed to be a tragic experience so only the best and biggest portfolios will be added to your site. Let me ask you this, how are you planning on growing the site if new stock contributors who can't do this full time yet have 0 chance getting approved and they get 0 feedback. People like me could add valuable files to your set overtime, but you only care about upfront. Also the site is already full of trash vectors, I can't even count the times I downloaded a texture or other element that were uselessly bad. I got rejected for the second time with files that I'm actively selling on other sites (which are also really picky).

Thank you for deliberatly wasting my time, you can't even be bothered to send me, not even a hand written feedback, but at least a general reason. Never trying this site again.

Edit: I edited my review from 1 star to 2 for at least the fair response without deflecting, judging the overall consistency for a first upload with 150 files that is totally unreasonable for a first approvement ensures that the only people that get approved are established stock creators, while people like me could add valuable assets to your site, but can't get approved because it takes me sometimes weeks to finish a vector set, and I can't sink this much time into something that I'm not sure will even sell. That's why I personally have a mixed bag of assets and could't possibly jump the consistency rope with this number. I appreciate the honest answer but without a timeframe, and the fact that this has been the review process for years, your good will is in vain. I use Freepik regularly for templates etc. and would like to sell here but the current review process eliminates me without a chance.

Freepik Payment Incompetency

Literally opened an account just to share my experience.

I shared this with C-level on linkedin too.

I literally had the payment page open on for the pro version on freepik, looks like the payment didn't go through, and will have to switch to higgsfield. I will wait for a little bit more for you guys to take the payment for my card and go forward with my purchase.

You guys are literally turning away a paying customer and handing them off to a competitor.

I will wait for a few more days and switch to Higgsfield if this is not resolved. They have the same 37$ 2 year promo going on and they are at least able to take payments.

Team members couldn't access team

Purchased premium package for a team of 8 people for a one day workshop. At the workshop we spent the majority of the day trying to get everyone on the team so they could use their credits.

Seems that you need to turn off and blockers to get it to work. But really disappointing.

Couldn't get hold of a help desk at the weekend so the payment for this workshop was wasted.

Growing Together with Freepik!

I’ve been using Freepik for many years. Back then, it was one of the only affordable alternatives for people who didn’t have the budget for expensive stock image banks, and it helped a lot in our daily work.

Today, I’m really happy to see how much Freepik has evolved. The platform keeps improving, especially with the integration of AI tools that make creating and downloading resources much easier and faster. There are always new features and updates, which shows how much they care about their users.

Existing customer upgrade, terms not honoured

I am an existing Freepik customer and I upgraded my service expecting the upgrade to be handled under Freepik’s stated terms and conditions.

That has not happened.

After upgrading, I ran into an issue where the service and or billing outcome did not match what Freepik’s published terms say should happen during an upgrade. I contacted support to resolve it and asked for one simple thing: honour the terms, confirm the correct outcome in writing, and apply the fix.

Instead, I have been pushed through support loops without a clear resolution. The responses have not addressed the specific upgrade terms and I still do not have a proper outcome aligned with Freepik’s own conditions.

This is not about asking for special treatment. It is about an existing customer upgrading and being held to one standard while the company does not follow the standard they published.

This has been ongoing for over 2 months now, and both their support and management teams have provided inaccurate information numerous times, with no reference to their actual terms and conditions.

They keep wanting to issue a refund, which results in me losing more than 750000 credits, which is unacceptable.

I will update this review if Freepik honours the upgrade terms and resolves the case in a timely manner.

I discontinue my yearly subscription charge in a couple weeks ago... and today I just find out my remaining token is gone???

Another company who relies not to provide useful service but on user to forget about subscription. Pathetic, about 10 steps and hidden buttons to cancel, no notification about charge. Charging even if you didn't use service on previous month... This should be considered fraud

Warning to professionals: this tool does not perform as advertised and refunds are ignored.

I paid for a full year subscription based on recommendations. Huge mistake.

I work daily with multiple AI tools and write well-structured, professional prompts. Freepik AI consistently failed to generate the images requested, even with clear, detailed prompts.

The results were inaccurate, unusable, and often didn’t even follow basic instructions. It also failed at something as basic as correctly handling prompts written in Spanish.

I requested a refund, contacted support multiple times, and never received a response nor my money back.

This is not a user-friendly AI tool, not reliable for professional use, and the lack of customer support is unacceptable.

Warning to professionals: this tool does not perform as advertised and refunds are ignored.

Terrible, it doesn't tell you why the image that you are generating is not ready after 5 minutes of wait.
When the generation works is fine but you can only do it in late night.

Telkens als ik foto's wil generen overdag, komt er op dat google het druk heeft terwijl het s'nachts geen probleem is. Dit zou toch niet mogen? Ik heb premium account!! Ik ben nu al 4 uren aan het proberen om iets te generen en telkens failed het. Helemaal niet tevreden van deze site!

Je partage mon expérience pour éviter à d’autres de tomber dans les mêmes pièges.
Freepik fonctionne avec un modèle d’abonnement extrêmement peu transparent, qui peut entraîner des frais inattendus et des situations impossibles à corriger une fois engagées.

Mon cas concret :
Ancien abonnement : 144 €
Upgrade Premium+ : 259,20 €
➡️ Total prélevé : 403,20 €

Pensant à une erreur, j’ai contacté le support. par 2 fois. La réponse est claire : aucun remboursement, même en cas de mauvaise compréhension.
Je précise que leur IA, lors de ma demande de changement de forfait, ne m’a jamais avertie du caractère définitif et non remboursable de l’upgrade/a mon ancien forfait.

Ce qu’il faut absolument savoir :
Lors d’une mise à niveau, aucun remboursement n’est possible, même si l’erreur est involontaire.
Le changement est immédiat et irréversible.

Les prix des plans sont cumulés. Si vous modifiez votre abonnement en cours d’année, vous payez les deux.
J'en déduit tardivement que le renouvellement annuel automatique doit être désactivé ,ou qu il faut rester en mensuel, sinon toute modification peut entraîner une facture très salée.

En résumé :
Freepik utilise un système d’abonnement peu clair, avec des conditions strictes et aucune flexibilité.
Les erreurs ne sont pas corrigées, même lorsque l’utilisateur agit de bonne foi.
Je publie cet avis pour informer et protéger les utilisateurs, afin que chacun puisse décider en connaissance de cause.
