Monsteras are going crazy with the roots 🙈 Kinda not equipped for repots, but I guess they’re both due. Will have to find them some bigger pots.

But the albo has made such a cute new leaf, too! 🥰❤️ Thai Con is doing more roots, but that’s fine. Counting on it growing slower tbh XD

I didn’t know new shoots of the Silver Band came in with this blush 🥺💕 so prettyyyyyy

Edit: noticed another one and added that too! There’s a third on the way also, but that will need a couple more days.

Second leaves on these new vines are unrolling and I’m delighted they still have a bit of blush to them 💕 There’s also a 4th new shoot there. The 3rd one didn’t have any pink on it, just like the propagations I recently potted up. No idea yet what the conditions are for the blush to appear, but if I ever find out I’ll try my best to meet it. It just looks incredible, I love it so much!

Went to pick up med refills for my pets yesterday and nearby is a garden center, soooo I guess I’m owning my first hoya now 😅 Not the one I’m really after (that would be the Hoya polyneura in just green… hoping to find a cutting in a marketplace somewhere since it’s never in the shops), but this one is reeeaaaally pretty and cute. It’s a Hoya krohniana ‘Super Silver’. In general at this point I don’t really care for most Hoyas, but this one did speak to me a lot.

And I had to pick up the Syngonium Pixie too, because it stays relatively small and has a more compact growth pattern which I like. It’s CUTE. I guess I suddenly have five (5) different Syngoniums now 😅😅 (erythrophyllum, wendlandii, regular podophyllum, p. albo, and now the p. pixie) Maybe I’ll stop with them once I can find an aurea. Now that spring is coming I am keeping my eyes open online… 👀

Update on the PLNTS order, 3 weeks after repotting

By now they’re still in the prop box, but I kept it permanently open now for a while and I think so far everyone has adjusted to the regular humidity in my living room (about 60% currently which is a bit crazy, but I’m having issues with too much humidity this winter). At least the plants love it haha. Anyway!

⬇️ Syngonium wendlandii is doing great! Pushing out the first new leaf since it arrived. Looking fantastic!

image

⬇️ Calathea/ Goeppertia warscewiczii had lost it’s grow point/ emerging leaf due to cold during shipping, but is also pushing out a brand new grow point already, so I’m very happy about that!

image

⬇️ Philodendron melanochrysum also had lost the grow point in the same way, but otherwise it’s doing great as far as I can tell. No new growth yet, but it’s hopefully just working on roots. Stunning plant, I love it.

image

⬇️ Anthurium warocqueanum has lost all the bigger leaves, but the smaller ones seem to adjust now. I put it into a net pot for aeration, but it dries out VERY quickly and I need to check on it more often. Was already very thirsty today when all the others still are pretty wet.

image

⬇️ Anthurium villenaorum hasn’t done a whole lot at all except for acquiring a few crispy spots here and there, but hopefully it’s still just establishing itself.

image

⬇️ Pilea Moon Valley also has lost all leaves due to shipping, but it still kept all the teeny tiny mini ones, so I’m hoping it’s going to be fine. This was the one I was most worried about because the root ball was really really cold and wet during shipping.

image

⬇️ Anthurium crystallinum has lost all but one leaf and that one has flopped over to the side and is a bit crispy at some edges, but we’ll see how it’s going to do in the future. Not confident to make any predictions, but I hope for the best.

Alocasia heterophylla had pretty much died at the time of repotting 💔 but there was one of these seed things in the soil and that’s what I potted up. No idea what I’m doing here tbh, but I’m imagining it’s going to take time for it to do anything even in the best of circumstances.

I’m tempted to think my Thai Constellation likes the new substrate 😄 Orchid bark, chunky pumice, coco coir and a bit of perlite. I’m having almost all of my pothos in this mix too and they seem to like it.

Ok this is absolutely CRAZY. Look at her roots today, a mere 9 (NINE) DAYS later?! wtf lol
