Update on the PLNTS order, 3 weeks after repotting
By now they’re still in the prop box, but I kept it permanently open now for a while and I think so far everyone has adjusted to the regular humidity in my living room (about 60% currently which is a bit crazy, but I’m having issues with too much humidity this winter). At least the plants love it haha. Anyway!
⬇️ Syngonium wendlandii is doing great! Pushing out the first new leaf since it arrived. Looking fantastic!
⬇️ Calathea/ Goeppertia warscewiczii had lost it’s grow point/ emerging leaf due to cold during shipping, but is also pushing out a brand new grow point already, so I’m very happy about that!
⬇️ Philodendron melanochrysum also had lost the grow point in the same way, but otherwise it’s doing great as far as I can tell. No new growth yet, but it’s hopefully just working on roots. Stunning plant, I love it.
⬇️ Anthurium warocqueanum has lost all the bigger leaves, but the smaller ones seem to adjust now. I put it into a net pot for aeration, but it dries out VERY quickly and I need to check on it more often. Was already very thirsty today when all the others still are pretty wet.
⬇️ Anthurium villenaorum hasn’t done a whole lot at all except for acquiring a few crispy spots here and there, but hopefully it’s still just establishing itself.
⬇️ Pilea Moon Valley also has lost all leaves due to shipping, but it still kept all the teeny tiny mini ones, so I’m hoping it’s going to be fine. This was the one I was most worried about because the root ball was really really cold and wet during shipping.
⬇️ Anthurium crystallinum has lost all but one leaf and that one has flopped over to the side and is a bit crispy at some edges, but we’ll see how it’s going to do in the future. Not confident to make any predictions, but I hope for the best.
Alocasia heterophylla had pretty much died at the time of repotting 💔 but there was one of these seed things in the soil and that’s what I potted up. No idea what I’m doing here tbh, but I’m imagining it’s going to take time for it to do anything even in the best of circumstances.
