Arriving at a summer resort in the mountains, the sleuth recognizes one of the guests as an ex-convict. He watches him and finds he is using the proprietor's daughter to deliver a package in the city. The ex-convict meets the girl at the station and the sleuth follows them. The former drops a letter on the road. It is picked up by another man. The sleuth follows the man to a cabin, resulting in his capturing a nest of bank robbers.
