Set in the forests of Iraqi Kurdistan, bordering Turkey and Iran, the show captured the excitement and challenges of the participants as they competed to survive and win a prize, experiencing firsthand the hardships faced by early humans in the same region centuries ago. The show's opening sequence was filmed in the actual Neanderthal cave discovered in the Barzan area of Iraq. See less
