He's supposed to be doing a student internship with the police. But the three don't get far: At a green light, a dark sedan blocks traffic. The vicious insults of the taxi driver Hans Hauser behind it fall on deaf ears: a dead man is sitting at the wheel of the sedan. For taxi driver Hauser, the deceased was no stranger. The body was that of private driver Jörn Gruner, who offered his ride service via app and had long been a thorn in the side of taxi drivers. But where does the poison come from that Dr. Anja Licht finds in the energy drink can in Gruner's car? Hauser protests his innocence, but also makes no secret of the fact that he isn't exactly sad about his competitor's death. Hubert and Staller's work is complicated by the student intern, who, at Girwidz's suggestion, keeps a video diary and constantly interrupts the investigation with a rolling camera. Nevertheless, the police soon stumble upon a hot lead: The taxi drivers had been shadowing the private chauffeur and meticulously recording his journeys. One of Gruner's best clients was mayoral candidate Ferdinand Amberger. And as luck would have it, Amberger is at odds with taxi driver Hauser. While the politician has positioned himself as a moral guardian against the construction of a brothel in the town, Hauser, as the founder of the Pro Puff initiative, is fighting for the establishment. But Hubert and Staller have the feeling that both opponents are hiding something from them. Written by ARD Das Erste See less
