I completed 3-4 tasks for Ipsos and completed all of them to a high quality, a mixture of remote telephone calls and in-person visits. Unfortunately, the vast majority, despite being highly detailed for the lacklustre reward provided, were sent back for edits they could have simply made or provided clearer instructions in the first place.
The website is glitchy, terrible to use and feels low quality.
I conducted one visit to which they provided false information and fully declined by shop, stating it was my fault and failing to pay up and cover my expenses. Numerous support contacts and nobody is willing to assist and the phone staff (when you can get through) simply can’t do anything hardly and all gets referred onto departments which I highly doubt exist as you never get a reply back or any communication at all.
I’d stay well clear.

Now, after all that, they have suddenly decided to claim my task was “declined.”
Let me be absolutely clear: it was not declined. This is a complete reversal of what I was told, with zero explanation and zero accountability.
This company has shown a total lack of honesty, consistency, and professionalism. They are unreliable, they do not communicate properly, and they clearly do not value people’s time or effort.
I have never experienced such careless and disrespectful treatment. If this is how they operate, then people need to be warned.
Do NOT use this company.
They waste your time, change their decisions without reason, and take no responsibility for their actions.

Personally the amazon ID tasks are a great way for me to fetch a couple quid weekly. Support is amazing and payments have always been done on time. Only reason giving it 4/5 and not 5/5 was I ever had 1 issue.
I submitted a task and was told my “pictures” for the survey were “digitally altered” attempted to retake new pictures and try to submit but wasn’t able too. Support couldnt help on this matter which was disappointing. Other than that 1 bad experience it has been great.
IShop For Ipsos is a great company to work for as a mystery shopper. Assignments are varied, interesting and constructive. I have derived a real sense of satisfaction working for them freelance. Pay is generous and appropriate.
Very easy to complete. Through instructions and great assistance if needed.

Dreadful experience. You need to jump through hoops to get the payment they promised you.
The give you unrealistic due dates i.e. email you at 10pm asking you to submit by 8:30am. They will even cancel the evaluation while you are working on it (get an error message saying it's invalidated).
Even if you receive any kind of reimbursement you feel like you ran a marathon to earn every dollar.
Their system is designed for those who might be unemployed to make some money but it would be easier to get a full time job.
A very painful experience dealing with idiots who request stupid things from your reviews like "take a photo of the inside of a plastic or paper bag". Leaving you to shake your head in frustration as to why they ask for such ridiculous requests or is it because they can.
Don't bother because they also love to cancel your jobs after you are out of pocket because you didn't take a photo of the inside of a plastic bag.......

I have phoned up to rearrange tasks, and they have been very useful, and while the pay is not something you can make a living out of, some extra beer money in your 20s isn't bad!

Really surprised to see so many negative reviews. My experience has been completely different.
Ipsos are probably the best market research company in the UK. Good range of tasks and decent pay.

It's a really great way to have fun, learn some new things and make some additional money. There are a wide variety of different tasks, including meals out and other easy tasks. You get good briefing from the Ipsos team and quick responses to any queries. There is a pretty quick turnaround on reimbursements as well. You can pretty much do as little or as much as you want, when you want. A great thing to be part of.

They expect you to spend your own money on visits, then fail to reimburse you for various made-up reasons. Stay away from their scammy practices!

I’ve done mystery shops for numerous companies. Ishopforipsos are the worst one I’ve found so far. They have very badly written instructions and expect you to be a mind reader, then they blame you for it. They don’t seem to be willing to take any responsibility for the absolute mess their booking system is in. I’m appalled by the way they seem to blame anyone but themselves.

They will say on your profile that your pay is approved and shows green. Then they will decline the report and not pay you. How can a company shows your pay is going through then back track. It's just a con. Reported them to HMRC.

Have done loads of work for these guys, the allocators are helpful at sorting out work for me and always help if I have to change my plans or I’m I’m staying in a hotel in the middle of nowhere with dodgy WiFi.
Pros:
Allocators make sorting out visits easy (Amy,Adrian,Keiren,Tanya,Abbie, Carly).
Weekly Pay
Get to go and visit nice parts of the country.
Cons
Days can be long, but that’s by choice.
Can be repetitive if you do lots.
Get to go and visit places like Luton/Redcar/outskirts of Glasgow!

Fantastic company to work for. I have been with Ipsos many years and have never had an issue with jobs being approved or payment. They are one of the fastest payers in the mystery shop world. Jobs they have on their system range from free food and drink to video shopping phone shops. Great rates of pay and helpful support staff. One of my favourite companies to work for. Keep it up Ipsos

I have just starting completing mystery dining shops with this company. I was initially apprehensive regarding the reviews, but completing one and find it to be a OK, however.....after completing the 2nd where my drinks order was incorrect (served incorrect not ordered incorrectly) surely this is relevant feedback as a mystery shopper? this is where I began to understand the negative reviews. The shop was rejected because of this, and although it was initially approved and payment was showing, the payment was then taken out of my pay account.
Clearly this company is very unprofessional and does not know what it is doing.
Again, I have emailed and attempted to call but as others have said this is an impossible task.
It is a massively expensive risk to take to mystery shop for this company

Mi hanno contattato per una missione e rimborsato interamente della paga concordata dopo nemmeno un mese. Purtroppo abito in una zona dove se non hai l auto ne puoi fare poche. Soddisfatto lavorerò ancora per loro.

Avoid doing job with this thief.
Even one star they don't deserve.
I will contact their vendors and let them know that they don't pay shoppers for their job and see.
Ipsos is a bad company and deserve to be shut down.
