SCAM?
SCAM? My experience shopping with Playthek mirrors those of other shoppers/reviewers. The item I ordered showed as in stock, I paid €165.29 with a TransferWise virtual Visa card May 1st. I received no email confirming receipt of order, and the order showed on their site as dispatching May 3rd. On May 4th, it showed dispatching May 6~7. On May 8th showing dispatch May 11th, etc etc This pattern repeated for over 1 month. I used the Playthek site to lodge a complaint, (again, received no response). Finally I contacted visa, they agreed to process the chargeback request, which FINALLY seemed to get a reaction. Money WAS refunded, but I suspect, only as Playthek knew it was a fait accompli, and visa WOULD take back the money either way. I still received no response from Playthek, apology, or even an explanation.
What a total waste of time, money, and further waste of my time, lodging the online fraud report with Visa.
I'll let you be the judge as to if this is an out and out scam site, but given they took my money, failed to fulfill the order, or respond to my queries, and what amounts to ZERO customer service, or fulfillment, any metaphor for scam is probably appropriate.
