Camborne Premier inn

Camborne Premier inn. Great room, pleasant staff.
Went to breakfast and was shocked at the road workers in their overalls, these were absolutely filthy with asphalt deposits plus general dirt. Are overalls not to cover normal closes, there workers were in the bar in the evening in casual close so why can't they come to breakfast dressed the same. Is asphalt not a carcinogenic.
Is this a management issue or do senior allow this.

Just a general review/point really…

Just a general review/point really regarding Premier Plus rooms. The change in chocolate brand is a bit disappointing, but more so is the change of toiletries. These are still in the Bayliss and Harding bottles, but the new stuff they are filling the bottles with is awful. Stayed 3 or 4 times over the last few weeks and all venues are the same. No doubt this is a cost saving exercise from head office but to be honest, I'd rather they had just put a couple of quid onto the room rates and stayed with the far superior products.

We stayed at Queen St Cardiff Premiere Inn

We stayed at Queen St, Cardiff, in February.
The heating was not working in the room, and there were no instructions regarding this. The wall control showed that the temperature was adjustable , but the wall control did not work, it only adjusted the fan speed, making the room fell even colder.
There was clearly an issue with the room heating, because there was a separate heater in the room. This DID NOT WORK also.
So we had no heating in the room, during a very cold spell in Cardiff.
The reception staff told us that they could switch it on at their end.
Why is no heating activated in the room ? This seems to be a feature of Premiere Inn rooms. Why do you not make it clear that heating or air con is controlled by staff ? Why do customers have to contact the hotel staff to get heating switched on ?
There is no easy way to contact reception staff in any case.If you phone reception, invariably there is no answer.
You should make customers aware that your policy is to keep heating inactivated, (making a stay very uncomfortable).
The room clearly had not been checked because the floor heater supplied was not working, and therefore its safety was in doubt.
I reported this to reception. The answer " if you reported it to us, we can switch it on at our end". But.. there is no way to contact reception, other than going down from whatever floor you are on, and seeking out a member of the tea.
This is clearly Premiere Inn policy, this is not the first time this has happened. The same applies to air con (If the room has it). It often does not work, and, again, you have to contact reception. Then... they can "switch it on".

Night Staff at St Austell branch argued over valid noise complaint

Night reception staff at St Austell branch argued that there was no ongoing noise issue in the room above. Even though I kept coming down at night to report it, finally just before 3am I went to reception and insisted on another room. Even at that late hour they still argued there was no noise issue. They had only gone to listen in corridor for a few minutes whereas I had experienced the noise the whole night from 6pm onwards. If a customer is repeatedly reporting a noise issue until 3am there is obviously a noise issue. Nobody wants to keep coming down to reception just for fun. The women on night duty were incredibly rude, gaslit me and argued with me that there was absolutely no issue as far as they were concerned (gaslighting). I asked them “why would I keep coming down if there was no issue?” (ie if there truly was no issue I would simply be in bed, sleeping!) - to which they replied “we don’t know”. Wrong answer! The whole stay and noise issue was badly handled. Avoid.

Clacton on Sea (nr Weeley) Premier Inn

We stayed at this Premier Inn just on the outskirts of Clacton for a night. When we arrived the room was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and there were even lovely treats left in our room for the kids! We booked a family room and it was spacious and set up well. Breakfast the next day was great in the pub next door, well stocked and had everything we needed. Overall a great stay and we will defnitiely be back some time.

So difficult to get a refund

We stayed at the Newton Abbot hotel.
The breakfast was an absolute shabbles! There nothing on the cooked food counter and very little on the continental counter. After complaining it took 8 weeks to get a refund!

Old dated and poor service
The hotel stank of paint, there was no prewarning that they were having works, the carpet was covered with plastic and vans all parked inconsiderately in the carpark.
In the morning they Couldn’t find our booking for breakfast, when we finally got a table there were no plates, jugs for milk, cups for cold drinks and the jugs were empty. We had to wait a good 20 minutes for our hot breakfast and when it came, the scrambled egg was overcooked and the sausage didn’t look edible. Poor poor service

Disabled Person Room

Booked a room for a disabled person. Followed the process by emailing the accessibility team. Waste of time emailing. Less than helpful.

Thumbs up

Rooms spacious, well lit and cosy, fair ambiance. Food fair. The staff carried the experience for me, so so friendly and helpful, Gary deserves a special personal mention for leading a team that in my humble opinion puts Premier Inns best foot forward.thumbs up to St Helens Premier

Premier Inn

Premier Inn, Oswestry

Big hotel with ample parking, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was very clean, our room on the first floor was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, tidy and the shower was really good and refreshing!

Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Currently no restaurant as they're in the process of building it but there were complementary hot drinks (really good coffee), pastries and fruit at breakfast time - there was also an American diner, Starbucks and KFC near the hotel and it's not too far from the town.

I'd definitely recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again.

I wrote a review which was not published, I’m not surprised, they probably have sufficient bad reviews. Having had a terrible night sleep which we were unable to report at the time because there was no one in reception, we reported the following morning their team member asked us to report it directly to customer relations which we did. Their response was to say that we should’ve reported it at the time and there was no record of any complaints at the hotel. Have used Premier Inn since its inception in the UK. I have now given up on them. A shame really, because the local staff were really good.

Dublin Docklands hotel - Sauna and no good nights

Dublin Docklands hotel - my room was a sauna and I complained from the first day of my stay, multiple times asking them to fix it. I even complained at night. Apparently I did not complain enough to get a refund. I was a regular customer of the brand, simply because I would know what I was getting but this has made me plan to never use them again. I didn't sleep for 4 nights and it ruined my ability to do the business I went there to do.
