Their privacy practices are awful

Their privacy practices are awful. My physical therapist (PT) uses Medbridge to list my PT exercises. So when I tried to access that list, I was required to set up a Medbridge account. When I read their privacy policy, it makes clear that there's potential for them to sell one's information to 3rd parties or for marketing etc. It says contact them by email to opt out. When I contacted them by email they wrote back that they don't share one's info. I wrote back and said, "Even if you don't do it now, your privacy policy makes clear that you can in the future." So they replied, well yes, that's true, and we have a form to opt out forever-- but the form wasn't listed or accessible in their privacy policy. Most people won't read the fine print to the extent I did and go back and forth via email. Do not trust this company with your info!!

They send big mailings of junk mail…

They send big mailings of junk mail that we never signed up for. We're in a climate crisis and they're adding to it. Yuk.

They did reply just now, per below. But what they need to do is provide specific information on the junk mail they send detailing how to get removed. Most people will not bother taking time to write all this on TrustPilot or elsewhere to get them to do the right thing. Most of all, they shouldn't send junk mail to begin with.

Terrible company - privacy violations, lack of support

They added me, without my consent, to what they call "autoconnect" and it was an insane amount of difficulty and time to get them to help remove me. I am not their customer and have no account with them, but they keep sending messages about how they've now autoconnected me with various organizations. I never signed up for that and do not want that. They have no phone nor email support for this-- I had to waste time looking on their website searching for how to get removed but nothing on their website offers that option, and their autoconnect emails that I get do not allow one to unsubscribe from autoconnect. When I called in, I was told the only option is to use their chat. I spent over 45 minutes on that chat. Their representative on chat also gave misinformation (e.g., telling me there's not way to get removed from their marketing). I told him legally that is now allowed, and then he consulted with his team and corrected himself. The way this company operates is awful! Most people will not take over an hour to do this stuff.

Awful- they send a lot of unwanted hard…

Awful- they send a lot of unwanted hard copy junk mail (hey! we're in an environmental crisis!) and when you try to get removed they make it a crazy long process and want yet more info (your email/phone). Avoid this company!

PS I appreciate their reply. However I would advise that they: (a) add in writing on their junk mail how to opt out (provide an email or phone # for opting out); (b) teach their staff how to remove people (I was on the phone for a long time and in the end had to hang up as the agent was never able to find out how to get me off their mailing list); (c) consider not sending junk mail to begin with that people have not opted into.
