I just had a thought!
What if when Mike saw El at the gate, the guards had guns pointed at his back right? So when he was going to El. One of them tackles Mike to the ground and Dr.Kay sees that she could use Mike as a way to lure El back.
She says to shoot him and the guard has his gun pointed at Mikes head. HOWEVER…Everyone else is fucking crying for El to come back and also just so scared for Mike. Especially Nancy and Holly are just crying out for Mike.
Someone please write this in a way that the military gets taken out someway or something. There’s just sm potential here

Honestly fuck what the Duffers think. El isn’t a plot device or a metaphor. She’s a real human being who deserved a full life and wasn’t meant to hide away from her loved one forever. I do believe in my heart that El and Mike will reunite one day, they just have to.
I really need Finn and Millie to come out and talk about their thoughts and what they think the future holds cause quite frankly, their opinions are the only ones that really matter right now.
