Summary: As the Heart Pirates plan to rescue their captain from prison, Law returns on his own. Bepo, while happy to have his captain back, feels guilty for causing Law to give himself up in the first place. He probably should have realized Law would notice.
Notes: The title comes from the Ayn Rand quote, “Guilt is a rope that wears thin.” This is set between episodes 955 and 956. Law gets out of the prison six days before the raid, but we don’t know what he’s up to during that time, so I wrote this.

Summary: Law turned Cora-san’s hand over to see fresh cuts and bruises. He frowned then grabbed for his guardian’s other hand. Cora-san sighed but didn’t fight him as he found the same wounds on his other hand. Law glared up at the man.“What are these?” he rasped. “Where did these bruises come from?”
“Fell down while you were sleeping,” Cora-san replied, gently pulling his hand from Law’s grasp so he could reach for his cigarettes.
“Liar.” Law was a pirate—or he had been, he didn’t really know what he was now, out here alone with Cora-san—and he knew what cuts and bruises on knuckles meant. “Who did you hit?”

Summary: Bepo could feel Law’s limbs getting heavier as the exhaustion worked its way through his system. He could imagine Law’s eyes drooping as he fought unconsciousness. It was a pattern Bepo was well familiar with, having been with Law for as long as he had. Sleep would, undoubtedly, win in the end. And, as always, when Law finally fell asleep, Bepo would be the one to carry him home.

Lawlu
Title: An Awful Lot Like Hope

Summary: Law should have known that Doflamingo’s defeat wouldn’t simply cause the nightmares the end; trauma didn’t work like that. Rather, he felt like an exposed nerve, raw and jagged. But his conversation with Sengoku had shaken something loose in him, a fragile something he’d kept locked away for sixteen years: hope.
Notes: I know this fic has been done before, but I still wanted to do my own Dressrosa fallout fic. This was written for the “New Beginnings” square on my OP Bingo card.
