So I just finished reading the third and final book in the tempus trilogy by Nyah Nichol, Cosmic Ruins of Time. It was amazing I sort of forgot the events of book two because of how long it had been since I read it but OMG this book took me on an adventure. Part four onward I cried almost the entire time, I am not going to spoil anything incase anyone else wants to read it first but the twists and turns and heartbreak and it just was amazing. I finished the whole book in a few hours (I am normally a slower reader), because of how awesome it was and I do not really have anyone to ramble about this book to so I thought I would put it out here if nothing else but to put it into the world!!! !!!!

I just want to give a gentle reminder that it's ok to feel everything that you are feeling about the horrific news today. Sad, angry, confused, etc. People can say "you didn't know them" or "you don't even follow that team" but you don't have to fit either qualifier to be devastated at the loss of 2 humans in an act so senseless and avoidable, and for their family and friends. and for the Columbus Blue Jackets community that has had to bear way more heartache then anyone deserves. ❤

I don’t post about hockey, and Columbus wasn’t even my team but my heart is shattered for both of their families and for everyone who got to know them.

The aftermath of a rush of triumphant adrenaline, awake, alive, transcendent.

A conversation with a stranger where you instantly "get" each other.

Wings and a sunset sky with warm updrafts and a steady airstream.

A cave, dark, quiet, still. You are by yourself but not alone. It's friendly.

recovering whumpees who are only truly comforted by caretaker. sure, there might be other team members or family that whumpee feels safe with, but in the midst of a panic attack, flashback, or nightmare, only caretaker can soothe them. whenever whumpee's in pain or scared, they reach for caretaker's hand, and it's never too far away. caretaker will hold whumpee, rub their back, run their hands through whumpee's hair, kiss them, sing to them...

whumpee worries that they're being clingy, but caretaker isn't bothered at all. caretaker doesn't want to leave whumpee's side, anyways. they're both terrified of losing each other again.

all your stuffed animals love you. they're not sad if they're in a box, or on the floor, or not held/played with as much. they understand. they know that you might need another stuffie more, or that you don't have enough space. they're just happy to be with you, and if you ever give them away, they'll be happy there too. stuffies are for comfort. they understand. they love you too. it's okay.
