This year Recognition Records celebrates its 25th anniversary. Jacek Sienkiewicz's label has already produced several dozen titles, consolidating its position as not only one of the most important, but also the most creative Polish labels.

Jacek himself consistently follows his own artistic path, moving freely between multi-layered, dynamic (post)techno music and avant-garde experiments with sound.

On the 25th anniversary of the release of the first album, Recognition presents material from 2000-2001 that has never been released in digital form, only on vinyl. The title "Directions: Meaning & Truth" is a compilation of titles 2, 3 and 4 of Jacek's 12”s, i.e. releases that found a wide response abroad and led to him being recognized as one of the most interesting producers on the European scene.

"Directions" is, above all, the epic, uplifting "New Direction", but the other two tracks are also perfect examples of strong, uncompromising minimal techno.

"Meaning" creatively transforms the inspirations of the Detroit sound with an irresistibly party character, but at the same time refers to the digital sounds of glitch aesthetics in an original way.

"The Truth" creatively develops the ideas from the previous record, but goes into darker regions with visible dub influences.

All three releases collected here undoubtedly have their place in the history of techno music of the 2000s - and to this day they unquestionably defend themselves not only as club tools, but also as testimony to Jacek's extraordinary, individual style, in some way being ahead of its time.
We hope that they will get a new life with the digital release.

The compilation includes an additional, previously unreleased track from the same period.
