Reflecting a creative evolution of over a decade, honed through the fundamental parties, labels and record shops of the 2010s. The UK-raised, Barcelona based artist: EYRA, has cultivated a genre-fluid style that plugs sound system pressure into worldly rhythms, pulsating house and mutant dancehall. His catalog includes releases on Accidental Meetings, Related Articles and Pressure Dome, as well as being the co-founder of the event series POLYGLOT and member of musical collective ABUNDANCE.

Esoteric and sub-heavy bangers is the name of the game with EYRA’s latest offering on New Zealand label Related Articles, serving up two infectious and steppy groovers 'Peso Neto' & 'Weit'. These slick club productions make optimum use of space and dynamics, exploring moments of tension and release with immense bass pressure. Sprawling and textural sound design swirls around these deeply-rooted rhythms that take influence from dancehall, grime, footwork and dembow.

Peso Noto - a versatile and rhythmic club weapon that sways seamlessly in between footwork and dancehall patterns, a perfect track for jumping between genres and tempos whilst keeping the energy high and the crowd locked in.

Weit delivers a sprawling and chuggy dancehall mutation with hints of grime influence dropped in for good measure. Laidback, swaggering grooves make ample space for the fidgeting percussion to dance on top, while a gliding grime lead seeps through the cracks.
