i feel like this is pretty easy pickings so im surprised i havent seen anyone post abt it yet - have you watched severance, and have you thought abt an rvb severance au at all. i watched severance 2 weeks ago and have been tortured by thoughts of a Refiners of Errant Data dept and Biography and Logs Upkeep dept (both working titles) on the severed floor ever since. unless this means nothing to you in which case my apologies 🫡 i think i will simply write a longfic about it

i do think the plot of rvb severance would be about outie simmons’ increasingly deranged and dangerous attempts to find out what his innie is doing. i think it would drive him crazy that he was forced to be the outie version he would want to be the innie so bad. he would be so curious. he would attempt basement reintegration just so he could go to work. and to be fair he’d be correct innie simmons would be having the time of his fucking life. actually it’d be funnier if that was true in a vacuum but because of his coworkers intentionally antagonizing him and undermining him he is also miserable and desperately wants to become the outie version of himself where he is Sure he is more respected than this. neither version of simmons wants to exist and that’s beautiful
