nick bolton I thought I might avoid the brickwalled sound of the CD and download by buying the record, but sadly no - it’s still excessively compressed and limited. I had hoped for better mastering on this release.

I look forward to buying this again at some time in the future with better sound. Favorite track: An Eye For The Main Chance.

Like the historical rock they were named for, British goth legends Rosetta Stone were an integral key in deciphering the code of an era to come. Since their foundation in the late '80s, the Liverpool musicians bridged the chasm between the first wave of anti-pop led by luminaries such as Bahaus & Sisters of Mercy to an underground scene that was emerging in smokey fetish clubs worldwide with industrialized bands like Switchblade Symphony & Inkubus Sukkubus. Porl King & his dark coven brought a new, romantic element to the dance in an exciting age of black fashion & freak culture experimentation. Songs like "The Witch" & "Adrenaline" became instant staples for any goth jock worth their salt.
