1845 is gonna be my year
WASN’T.
💪🏾🏆💐.
Calling her actions “indefensible,” Vice President JD Vance stated Thursday that Renée Good was brainwashed by the Bible into loving thy neighbor. “The fact of the matter is that Renée Good was radicalized by these deranged, left-wing texts,” said Vance, whose response to the death of the 37-year-old Minneapolis mother was reiterated across social media by MAGA voters and GOP lawmakers who emphasized that the blame for her slaying lay squarely on the Scriptures that had “poisoned” her mind.

when I tell u I had to scroll a week back in my twitter likes to find this video bc I genuinely couldn’t sleep until I did
this clip from this streamer fucking up his streamdeck buttons has got me sobbing
Whatever you thought this was gonna be like, I promise you it’s not that
“call it Xstein Island amirite boom gottem” I type as the camera pans to my face and I age 30 years in 5 seconds
Call me whatever names you wish, but I think this is a much better (and healthier) attitude than “anyone under 18 should never be allowed to see any sexual imagery ever”
(For reference: this was at the Tom of Finland exhibition, containing actual, queer, kinky af pornography. There were definitely some young people there, perhaps in their late teens. There was even a parent with their baby who was probably too young to understand anything at all. And guess what, all those people are probably going to be fine.)
[ID: a sign saying “Please note: there is no age limit, but the exhibition is not recommended for children due to the explicit sexual imagery it contains. Parental or guardian discretion is advised.”]
Hey this is a pretty cool approach maybe we should take that to the Internet instead of trying to invade the privacy of millions of adults because some parents can’t parent their kids
“He wants to start a war . . .” Vimes had to open his mouth because otherwise there was no room to get his head around such a crazy idea…
“Oh, certainly,” said Ahmed. “Nothing unites people like a good war.”
How could you deal with someone who thought like that? Vimes asked himself. A mere murderer, well, you had a whole range of options. He could deal with a mere murderer. You had criminals and you had policemen, and there was a sort of see-saw there which balanced out in some strange way. But if you took a man who’d sit down and decide to start a war, what in the name of seven hells could you balance him with?
