I would give them a negative score if I could. As an agent, there is zero support. There is no number to call to reach a person. Everything directs you back to the website where you can send lots of email and never receive a response. They are a necessary evil as an agent to have my information up to date and they can't help me with simply changing my email address for clients.

Never use zillow.com for doing background test for tenants. Zillow.com allows application to be submitted by prospective tenants. Zillow charges some fees - like $35(from tenants) and this application can be used against many properties for may be 30 days. Zillow outsources this task of background check to CIC or Experian. In my case it was CIC. CIC gets the SSN and IDs etc My tenants broke the lease and I need to file small claims court case where I needed last 3 of SSN, DL and date of birth. Reached out to Zillow.com and they sent me in circles to CIC. CIC cannot be reached by any human(phone or chat)-just by filling up the webform(to use their service)- I filled that up but never get anything from them. Ideally zillow have the relationship with CIC and must have reached on my behalf rather than washing the hands. From here onwards no zillow.com background checks. I will use something more reliable where controls are in my hands(for some extreme conditions like this). Zillow is total shameless - they charge some $35 or so from landlords also for advertising the property- but no accountability. Zillow one can only connect via support ticket with the person sitting in some country outside of USA. Zillow making money from landlords and tenants and from commercials with zero accountability and ownership. Yes they sell our data also to others. Zillow's excuse was so lame when I asked why they don't have the tenant's data "we don't want to compromise anybody's sensitive data beyond 2 years" as if they have never faced data compromise issue and everybody know that in public cloud cheapest service is cloud storage.
And if that was the case, at least send a notification to the landlord that this data is going to be purged - so that landlord can take backup or make a copy?
I never thought that this could happen. Even if this could happen, I relied on this background check process where nothing was in my control(at least now I know). Zillow failed me. Also never use their property management. Companies like Zillow just want to make money without any accountability or ownership. I am done using zillow.com - it sucks.

Zillow was great at first. Allowed me to apply for multiple properties with only a $35 application fee. Got into my house, and landlord wanted to receive rent through Zillow, totally fine. Made my first payment through FLEX Finance because I am a single mom and FLEX allows me to split my rent in half. I've used FLEX since living on my own and I absolutely love them and their customer service. They really seem to care, unlike Zillow. Zillow stole my first month's rent, and to this day still has $2700 that is not theirs. They are keeping it for who knows what and aren't allowing me to even get into my account to do anything. I had to pay $5300 in rent for my first month in my new house because one month went to Zillow and another I gave straight to my landlord. It's been over a month now and Zillow is still holding that money. Customer service is emotionless and careless. They just said, "Oh, we cannot refund that money because we don't have refund process." Absolutely horrible. Don't do business with Zillow if you can avoid it.

Their "Zestimates" make zero sense. For the last several months it went up or down every day or so. It was a small percentage, so it made sense. Now, for a few weeks, the amount has not changed at all...zero up or down.

Signed up with them and my rental was posted in the wrong area. When you clicked on my new rental home a green trailer home come up. Took weeks to get problems corrected by the IT department. Mean while I am losing money. Keith always answered the phone to help me get the problems corrected, and then stopped responding. I was going to use them for management, but fired them for not getting anything right. They held $4000 of my money for weeks, even after asking for my deposits. Ended up showing and renting myself after it was finally posted in correct location and information. Only used them since they would not post my listing after paying a realtor to put it on the MLS. Tried to bill my tenant for monthly rent after I fired them. Used their credit card without authorization, that was on file for initial payment.

What a sick and pathetic company Zillow and their app are. They have constantly used faulty algorithms on my property and failed to even do fundamentally basic homework such as noticing several local assessor’s increased valuations after extensive upgrades we made to the house and grounds . They do not consult local realtors to get a feel for property values in our neighborhood . The bottom line is: their “Zestimate” for our home is $680,000. My bank assigns a value of $980,000 . And so do other entities. If I were to list, anyone arriving and quoting Zillow would be politely shown the door. Zillow get your act together !!!

Zillow sucks!!!! Their AI bots are terrible. You get inundated with emails, and you have to do a lengthy search to discover where you can turn it off. When you submit a request for information you immediately get a call from Zillow. From an AI bot. Who is so dumb you it's a huge waste of time. I got really tired of Zillow filling up my email box with constant emails, many of which includes properties it has already sent.

I recently sent a request for information about a land only property in Polk County, Florida. In the request I stated that what I wanted first was details of any deed restrictions there were on this property. I received a call 2 minutes later from an actual live person (which was strange considering my experiences with Zillow). He immediately started trying to set up a viewing of the property. I knew he hadn't bothered to read my request; he called too quickly. So, I asked him if he had the answer to my question. He had no idea what I was talking about. So I quickly explained and told him to send me the information in an email. 20 minutes later he called again and stated that the email was on it's way and again started trying to set up a viewing of the property. I politely told him thank you, I'll check it out and hung up. I despise pushy real estate salesmen. Then I went out to check his response. Guess what? No email. I gave it a while to see if they just had a slow server, but the email never came. He lied to me. I dislike pushy real estate salesmen. I HATE liars.

I've had enough of Zillow. And I hope I never hear from Ishaan Kumar again. I WILL NOT do business with a liar.

I am absolutely done with Zillow. They have it listed that I toured a home I never stepped foot in. That shouldn't have been a big deal, but when I asked to have that removed, I was ignored by my assigned agent, and every channel of customer service I reported it through. It had long become a question of ethics and I just wanted to see if anyone would even respond to my requests for customer service. No one has.
I'm still uncomfortable with the false data and just feel they are untrustworthy.

Stay away from any and all apply instantly. It's a shame Zillow allows fake landlords and property management companies to scam good hardworking people but the do. Zillow doesn't care..

I signed up with Zillow after being promised 20–28 vetted, exclusive leads per month. I paid $1,407 per month for six months and was charged an additional unauthorized seventh month, despite auto-renew being clearly turned off in my portal.
Over the entire six-month contract, I received only 33 leads total, not per month—and only three were legitimate. Most were ghost leads, already represented clients, or completely irrelevant inquiries, which directly contradicts Zillow’s claims that leads are vetted and qualified.
After disputing the charges with my credit card company (with documentation), a Zillow representative stated that if I proceeded, my account would be sent to collections—an inappropriate response given the clear nonperformance and unauthorized charge.
Based on my experience, Zillow failed to deliver what was promised and continued billing without consent. I strongly recommend other professionals proceed with extreme caution. Also adding not 1 sale from Zillow this entire time. Money down the drain!

INFO GENERALLY SUCKS!!! THE LISTING AGENTS DOCTOR THE PHOTOS!!!! FOR ACREAGE THEY DON'T SHOW FENCE LINES, GATES OR ANY OF TE OUTBUILDINGS INTERIORS!!! THEY ALSO DON'T SHOW "CLEAN" ROOMS!!! MEANING THEY LOAD THE PHOTOS WITH PHOTOSHOPPED FURNITURE!!! PROPERTY DESCRPTIONS DO NOT INCLUDE UTILITY COMPANY NAMES NOR ALL OF THE UTILITIES ON HAND!!!! 90% OF THE PEOPLE LOOKING AT ACREAGE ARE DOING SO FOR AGRICULTURE EXEMPTION PURPOSES!!!!! SO THE AGENTS DON'T DO PROPERTIES FROM THAT STANDPOINT!!!! I USE ZILLOW NOT TO BUY BUT FOR INITIAL SEARCHES ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I BLOCK THEIR ROBO CALLS!!!

Zillow doesn’t allow negative reviews for realtors who advertise on Zillow,my husband Lawton Reed Harrington and I got scammed by Orlando realtors Stephanie Remige and Derick Harry of DS Realty Group LLC who advertise on Zillow,because these realtors paid Zillow,so Zillow only allow positive reviews for these dishonest realtors.We tried to write 1 star reviews many times for these horrible realtors but rejected by Zillow.Zillow reviews are anonymous,so these realtors asked their friends and family members to write fake good reviews for themselves,that mislead clients and let bad realtors have chance to scam people.

I strongly advise against using Zillow to sell your property as a “For Sale By Owner.” Selling by your own is allready stressfull.. The platform makes it nearly impossible to manage your listing without a U.S. phone number, even for legitimate international owners. Communication is frustrating, voicemails go unanswered, and there is no real customer support. The verification process is confusing and inflexible, creating unnecessary obstacles. Save yourself the stress and look for other platforms.

Zillow all of a sudden listed my property as a REO / post foreclosure when it is not. When I noticed it, I started doing research and they have done this to many homeowners. For someone that is 71 years old this is a very upsetting. I wrote to them, however many homeowners have said they didn't have luck with them fixing it and even when it was fixed, they did it again for the same home. How can they get something so serious as posting someone's home as a foreclosure when it is not? They need to be regulated and held accountable for the emotional toll this takes on homeowners seeing something that is so false, embarrassing and defamatory. I'm not sure how long they have been posting this, but I noticed it yesterday. Realtor.com can get it correct so why is Zillow so unreliable for such important information about someone that can have impacts that Zillow needs to held accountable for.

I have been emailing for assistance with not being able to access my messages for weeks! Multiple emails asking for help and not 1 response! Zillow either help me or give me a refund!!!

I BEING LOOKING FOR AN APARTMENT UNDER THIS MANAGEMENT AND PROVIDED ME NOTHING. THE AGENTS HAVE PROVIDED ME WITH POOR SERVICE AND I BEING ALONE ALL MY LIFE

I’m really frustrated that Zillow allows listings with only a single photo. In today’s world, there's no excuse not to upload multiple pictures. With all the technology available, it should be standard practice to provide a full view of a home. It's essential for potential buyers and renters to have a better understanding of what they're considering!

I rented a nice apartment in Berlin WI and moved out September 2025 gave a 1 month notice. Furniture was put out by another apartment unit near my unit I was accused by property management of putting a recliner out on curb side and a hole in a screen from from weather screens were original from being built

I found a house I wanted to see on Zillow. I filled out the form on Zillow to be contacted. That evening I had communication w/ a realtor named Brian White who said he would get back in touch when an appointment was scheduled. It’s now been 2 1/2 days and I’ve heard nothing. I then get a text with someone asking if I got the help I needed from Brian White, I replied no. They apologized & said they’d connect me with another agent who might be a better fit. They asked if they could give me a call, I replied yes &no phone call. That was 24 hours ago and I’ve still heard nothing.
I will NEVER go thru Zillow to see a listing. In my experience & opinion these people were totally unprofessional
