cars are so much scarier than planes. i've literally never been afraid on an airplane like first of all being on a plane is fun. second of all you're in a big as fuck vehicle with no other vehicles around for miles and the person at the wheel is a professional and not just Some Guy. one time i was getting a ride home from a nonbinary friend of a friend who was driving very erratically down the highway at 1am and they said to me unprompted "i have ocd so i only drive at speeds that are multiples of five"

this was years ago but i ran into them again at a party and they didn't recognize me (transition) so they started hitting on me and wouldnt stop talking to me about criminal minds yaoi. and i've never had this happen with an airline pilot, at least not an openly airline pilot

MAJOR HOTEL MARIO UPDATE REGARDING IGGY'S HOTEL

Skeem on the Seedy Eye Software Discord server has found a December 2021 Instagram post by Hotel Mario artist Trici Venola, containing several backgrounds for Ludwig and Lemmy's hotels:

More importantly, the fifth picture contains a background for a water-themed hotel that was NOT present in the final game OR in the prototype:

Given what we know about the development of Hotel Mario, this is almost certainly Iggy's cut hotel. (It also confirms that the cheese hotel idea was completely scrapped after Trici was hired for the game.)

We have another huge update.

A follower of mine, sanictheschemer, was able to ask Trici Venola about the aquatic hotel on Twitter. She was gracious enough to not only confirm that the hotel's artwork was done and meant for a scrapped hotel, but also shared her art for four additional levels (we now have visuals for half of it):

It also appears that this hotel was generally referred to as "Water Hotel" by the game's staff. Whether or not it lasted long enough to receive a proper "Iggy's (INSERT REFERENCE HERE) Hotel" name later in development is unknown (probably in a design document or earlier prototype?).
