"ICE isnt new, its been around for decades."
I have been out of the closet for longer than ICE has been around.
Ive read fanfiction older than ICE.
Sometimes I can still hear their voice
The lack of video content is what kept us here... I thought we all agree that the best feature of this hellhole was and always will be anonymity.
Tumblr's not asking for my phone number. It's not going through my contacts to try and connect me with my fucking colleagues. I can come here and talk about whatever I want without anyone ever seeing my face or hearing my voice. I don't have to censor myself and hide my interests or enthusiasm out of fear of consequences it might have in my real life.
I think the biggest misunderstanding they have of Tumblr is that they think of it as a social media platform when in actuality it's a blogging platform with social features.
I like the use of Metroman here because if there's one thing Tumblr users collectively agree on it's that we want everyone to think we're dead
😔
wish we were still on Tumblr instead of the void
et cetera et cetera
Also, I feel like we do have “tumblr personalities”? People like @prokopetz, @gallusrostromegalus, @hellenhighwater, or @kaity--did who enthrall many of us with their musings and stories?
They’re just… not monetizing it or trading on their fame or making a big name for themselves in the outside world. You’re not going to see them on the “internet celebrity” edition of Worst Cooks in America or anything. But they very much are notable people on this site.
This isn’t the place to chase clout or fame. It’s the place to have fun.
And it’s the last bastion of algorithm free social media.
Lmao the idea of me being an "internet celebrity" actually makes laugh so hard I peed a little 😂😂😂😂
(guy who heard that she needs to romanticize her life but got it confused with eroticize): migraine light sensitivity is just another type of sensation play when you think about it
Can we include darebee.com with ao3 and wikipedia on our list of really good nonprofits with excellent services that we stan?
It's a free, no sign-up, no ads fitness resource created by professionals who view this as activism (fitness should be accessible to everyone), and it's very thoughtful and thorough.
Features I really like:
- all instructions for workout routines are diagrammed on single pages with a clean, easy to read layout
- there's 30 or 60 day programs you can follow if you, like me, don't know what to do. they take you through a rotation of workouts so you're working different muscle groups on different day for a specific purpose
- there's so much variety and there's a filter so you can find the level and your goals and type of workout you wanna do
- you don't need any equipment
- some of the programs are RPGs or adventure stories! How's that for motivation. There's also badges and achievements or something but I haven't looked that closely at how that works yet
- they're nerds. they name workouts after D&D classes. There's a Lannistrr workout, a batcave workout, a witcher workout
- I've only scratched the surface
I'm doing this really easy one to start out
If you don't understand from the picture they have an Exercise Library playlist in YouTube so you can see what all the moves look like in motion!

I've mentioned how important it is to be active. So here's a resource!
And remember to brush and floss!
They are in major need of funding so if you've got a few dollars and this has been useful, then go get the paid app or chip in a few dollars! The fit tap app looks like it's an easy way to keep active during the day.
