My depression stopped once I started to transition so markedly that even my very conservative chriastian mother can’t deny they were directly linked, she is forced to agree that me transitioning improved my life. But her main justification for still being transphobic despite all that is to quote the bible being against same sex marriages. Gender and sexuality are so directly linked into each other in her mind that she’s confused I didn’t see the connection.
