For him, the worst defeat wasn’t losing in a pokemon battle. The worst defeat was when he failed them, those he vowed to protect… That is defeat. That is heartbreak. That is tears of gold falling, mourning the loss, regretting his failure.
I pictured this taking place in one of his first missions as G-Men. He and his group arrived at the scene, but it was too late. The fire had consumed it all… despite their efforts, no one could be saved.
