lloydd Have all their releases. So i was a little leary when this new album came out. There was some hesitation on my part with a new vocalist and an added guitar player. This is a excellent release as with all their albums. Good luck to Andrea and thanks for all you did on the previous releases. Favorite track: Eternal Child.

Mermaid 06:57
Sailing toward the lighthouse in the sea, Days of solitude, where time is free. With whispers in the waves, he heard the call He surrendered all. She embraced and took him to the depths. Calling him, into the ocean's trance, Embracing his soul in a dance. Facing the unknown, where life takes its breath, He will surrender, embracing what may be death She embraced and took him to the depths. about

The full-length album Nexus took two years to produce. It stands as an act of resilience for Spiral Guru following a pandemic, loss, and disconnection.

Nexus explores the fragments left after a decade of existence for an authoral band from Piracicaba, a city in São Paulo’s countryside. It is the product of what remains after time and circumstances stripped away over ten years of dedication to musical artistry—what endures, what connects— as well as with the new integrations that came to compose the band.

The album speaks of the bond between elements, of embrace. The embrace after abandonment and farewell. It speaks of what keeps us tethered to life: our connection to the unconscious, to loved ones, to our essence.

The duality between the forces that bind life—the suffocating embrace and the welcoming one. The mother’s embrace that devours her child; the embrace of the siren, of the unconscious, of love, and of parting. The embrace of death and of life.

Nexus is what fills the Void, the missing half that binds.

The album also reflects on submission to these connections—whether virtual, mythological, or ancestral. From ancient entities to new ones.

We hope you, too, will connect.

Spiral Guru Piracicaba, Brazil

A Brazilian band formed in 2013 playing anything that we feel like… Space Rock, Heavy Psych, Doom Metal. We actually don't mind much about labeling our songs, as we prefer to be free to try different sonorities.

Our lyrics depict our visions of a lot of things, mostly using science fiction as a backdrop
