#Okay but a murder investigation in Casper High taking place BEFORE Danny’s accident would be a such cool fic if done well#There is this phandom asumption that Amity Park was known as the most haunted even before Fenton Portal#So you have this 100% town who uses ghosts as tourist atraction#That happens to have 2 crazy ghost scientists nobody seems to like that much#And their two kids go to the same school where the murder happened (there has to be more schools than CH in Amity)#And if we go with ecto-contamination trope#Those two kids feel just a tiny bit of creepier than normal kids#springle in some personal head canons about Casper High dynamics before the show#Explore some early seeds of character growth or explain why someone was like that during the show#and have fun with Criminal Minds cast profiling DP characters and just being outsiders looking in#Add in some hints of Danny already being doomed by narrative#But the story ends before the portal is ever opened#So you end up with this an air of “something big/bad is about to happen and I don’t like it” haunting the entire plot#Make everything even more haunting if there is a heavy implication that becoming halfa saved Danny#Either his life#Or since this is criminal minds crossover#It preventes him from splitting towards a darker path

Like okay im only in season 2 of Ghost Whisperer so theres probably lore I dont know about still. But I just imagined like, Melinda meeting Norman one time or her noticing him acknowledging a ghost she can also see. And it’d remind her of herself and the trouble she went through as a kid. Norman having an adult figure whos mostly normal but understands him.

Then you add in Sam whos like such a normie but also insane in the dumbest ways possible. She sees ghosts and tends to get involved with them more out of necessity then cuz she wants to. She wasnt born seeing ghosts and is all together pretty new at this but shes nice and also a snoop. Any and all advice shed have for norman would be useless. If anything he’d be more helpful for her.

Melinda would be like “why havent you tried to get them to crossover yet” and Sam’s just like “You think i didnt think to do that?? Anyways doesnt matter now, we’re friends.” And Norman just nods sagely.

Jay gets to hangout with Melinda’s husband or something. Theyre wildly different people but at least theres someone else who gets what its like having ur wife constantly talking to people you cant see. (Also maybe Jay can get him to chill out!! The amount of times that guy has made a passive aggressive comment about the ghosts even tho he KNOWS Melinda cant control them)
