Game mode "The Hunt", where you chase a high-pitched, singing, hooded Skeleton, is worth the price on its own.

After about 20 minutes of troubleshooting to change the aspect ratio and field of view (Literally just find a few lines in the game files by going to Browse Local Files and a google to see I am where I need to be) the game runs flawlessly on my Linux machine.

I don't wear nostalgia glasses.
Have this game aged? Yes. In some ways it truly feels 22+ years old.
That has hindered my enjoyment a little bit but I have had a good time. The first level showed the genuine charm that I haven't seen in many games before or since.

A massive recommendation especially if you can get it on sale like I did. After using my wallet money I spent 1.5 euros for this game.

I found some gameplay footage of XIII a while back, and I found myself interested enough by it to want to play through it myself (mostly) spoiler-free. It was truly an enjoyable little FPS, even though I have no knowledge of the comic series its based on. The stealth sections are tense but fair for the most part, the gunplay is tactical and action-packed, and the story kept me guessing about what would happen next. I'm very glad that I played the game for myself instead of watching someone else play through it.
Overall, XIII easily stands on its own as an solid first-person shooter; it's easy to see why it became a cult classic. So if you find yourself wanting a unique FPS to play, I would easily recommend getting XIII: It's not so simple that it's mindless and it's not too complex that it borders on frustrating-- just a great time overall.
