We're rounding off the year with some house keeping updates. 2025 has been a crazy year of development for Nin Online, with some of the most significant updates since the game's inception, there's still a lot of rough edges, but I hope to end the year off on a stable build.

• (Devs) Added new Weapon Attack Speed feature to base weapon attack speed on a percentage of Agility base attack speed

• (Devs) Added Pagination to Jutsu Icon Selection

• (Devs) Added multi-select to NPC Loot table editor

• Antique Cabinets now store 10 items

• Added more debug information on the client to locate crash issues

• Experimental code changes to prepare client to Steam achievements

• Changed Red Cross symbol on Medic Coat to be green

• Changes to Item Drop locations

  • Bear Hermit Hideout and Mysterious Well 2F are now Warzones

  • Gang Brawler now drops Wooden Tonfa

  • Gang Spearman now drops Spiked Baseball Bat

  • Mobster now drops Metal Knuckle Blades

• Fixed a bug where if NPCs fully regenerate their health after a period of inactivity, they could still give their loot to players who attacked it long ago

• Added automatic retries to Steam Auth Logins
  This should resolve "Could not authenticate on Steam" errors

• Fixed a server error
  Replaced the previous map boundary checks with more robust validation

• Fixed EXP Rate handling on the client/server to properly display Blessing Bonus on Bounty Station UI

• Fixed a bug where name changer UI would think it cleared a previously used name for you when it hadn't

• Fixed Hawk not being shown as "Best" for Brazilian players

• Fixed a bug that caused player account data loss

• (Admin) Fixes to inconsequential player saving error spam on server

This update introduces new Equipment slots to your character - Rings - which are cosmetically invisible equipment that are purely for enhancing your ninja's build.

In other MMORPGs, when you find a new shirt that adds more Strength than your current one, you have to change into it, even if it messes with your look. One of the core design philosophies of the game, which is that people should be able to customize their character to look express themselves without it affecting their build. This is our way of introducing stats to equipment without compromising on this core design principle.

  Rings drop from ordinary mobs and their enraged versions. They provide stat benefits, at higher levels they provide almost 3-4 levels of bonus stats combined on both hands. They come in Common, Uncommon and Rare variants, with different and upgraded stats. There are Unique tier rings on its way as well...
