Hilarious game with friends, the ONLY change this game needs is zombies cant use the guns but they can hold them. Turns too much into a deathmatch at the end when it should be all about deception.

Backrooms: Apprehension is one of those small games that quietly earns its keep.

At its original price of $2.99, it was already solid value. At the current $1.49 sale price, it’s an easy pickup and a bit of a hidden gem if you enjoy messing around in atmospheric co-op horror with friends.

There are some fun gameplay ideas here, a few mechanics that help it stand out from other Backrooms-style games, and enough tense or funny moments to make it worth firing up with a group. It’s not a massive experience, and it’s not doing anything revolutionary—but it doesn’t need to.

This is the kind of game you boot up occasionally, get some good scares and laughs out of, then happily move on from until the mood strikes again.
