So which version of Id Tech are they using? Is it Darkplaces again?

That's my first thought, but I'm seriously getting Quake II, Chasm, and Unreal vibes.

I hope this game is WAYY shorter than WRATH, because while WRATH is a good game, is unnecesarily long. Apparently it was a 3D Realms request (bruh), and according to the Steam Page you guys aren't working with them anymore, so that's good. Looks good otherwise and I'll be waiting....

The Cyborg Animals instantly brought that game to mind when I saw the trailer and screenshots.

The store page says the gameplay will be "easy to learn but hard to master". That makes me wonder if we'll be getting some depth to the mechanics not typically seen in retro shooters. Maybe it's too early to ask that question. Still, this is one of my most anticipated games already though just from what I've seen so far. I hope the development isn't as painful for the devs like Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin seemed to be. I'm cheering for you guys!...
