Marking this occasion, we want to also present to you our third development update, featuring story beat changes, new animations, and other extra goodies that you will be able to experience in the demo as well!

Revised Story Beats

🕵️ Because an agent requires proper briefing before a mission.

Players will be happy to see that the story has received multiple changes to make it more exciting in the long run. These changes will be active in the Demo, as well as being present in the final version of the game.

New Interactions

Here at Raspberry Studio, we wanna make sure that things don't feel awkward, especially for a project that we are having a blast working on.

We have made several changes to ground the player better to the unique world of our game; expect to do many new things in your battle for survival in Serbia.

Backport Lightning

🕵️ Bravo Six, Not Going Dark.

The snowy vibes are shining throughout the month, with Christmas around the corner. What do we love about Christmas? Also the lights from the decorations, of course.

Well, we have an earlier present for everybody that covers just that. In one of our previous devlogs, we talked about our beautiful new indirect lighting solutions developed for chapter 2. These have been backported and included in the Demo.

Below, you can see the "before and after" variations of this change.

New High Quality Assets

🕵️ Woop-woop, that's the sound of da police.

It's time to bump the visuals with new quality assets, this time also developed for Chapter 2 of the game.

Pictured here are just some of the new character, vehicle and environment props, but trust us when we say there's more.

Anyone else's having performance problems?

I tried to play the DEMO and no matter the settings this game eats my RTX 3070 Ti for breakfast. If I set everything to low, it still keeps tanking the GPU. I was limiting FPS at half V-sync but still couldn't play without some serious heat. Are there any recommended settings that I'm missing, or does the game still need some proper optimizing since it's still early on? EDIT: Good luck with the launch, I hope that the game will be a success!...

We understand how everybody is excited to see the game launching on Steam, and we do actually have an early playtesting version that you can try right now.

Development Update #2

Incoming transmission for all our agents!

The second devlog has just dropped. Today, we'll be showcasing the brand-new M83/93 Magnum Revolver, shaders, AI behavior, and a good amount of updates for Chapter 2!

💥 M83/93 Magnum Revolver

As a special agent with complex training, it never hurts to have an extra arsenal. The gunsmiths (in this case, us) have introduced a new batch of crates containing something reminiscent of the Wild West.

You got it! The new Serbian weapon is coming to A.A.U. Black Site. This powerful .357 Magnum revolver will provide players with some (false) sense of security while exploring the forests and surrounding areas of Uzovnica.

Note: This weapon replaces the placeholder revolver currently seen in-game.

🛠️ New Material Shader

Gears are always on to make the experience of our players an enjoyable one. Hence, we've written a new material shader for surfaces that uses noise to break up tiling and improve overall visual quality.

The visual cue from below should make this update easier to understand!

🛠️ Dynamic Rain

Second chapter is heating up so much that some rain is needed for cooling. We are working on a dynamic rain system with droplets that react realistically while interacting with different material types and positioning.

🛠️ Chapter 2 Lighting

To improve the visual standard and atmosphere in Chapter 2, we've upgraded our lighting system to a fully dynamic screen-space global illumination system that aims for accurate and responsive indirect lighting with detailed secondary shadows.

If you remember our first Development Update #1, we talked a little bit about parts of our lighting system in there as well.

🤖 AI Behavior: Thug Enemies

You are on a dangerous mission so danger must be present. We made several adjustments to how the in-game NPCs/AI behave to better simulate combat.

The new thug enemies use different tactics compared to the ones players are used to. These enemies will check any possible hiding spot, securing corners as they pass by.

Note: Due to the limitations for the GIF conversion and for us to not sacrifice a lot of quality, the showcase here is normally shorter than the actual 34-second clip. Don't hesitate to join our Discord to check the original one out if you are interested!

the maze at the begining got the better of me

spent a while wondering around, and just as i thought i was done, it turned into a timed maze. I did give up at this point, though i really didn't wanna. the guns feel great and atmosphere is intriguing.

key bindings are not customizable and I didn't find a way to set the mouse to inverted. Hard pass for me :(

well, thanks, game seems cool but hard to get a demonstration when theres no combat, i mean i guess ill just go back and shoot the targets at the beginning

How do you progress in scarecrow field?

I have no idea how to progress through this section, any idea? 1st scarecrow pass and around the second one there is the animation and death.
