tried both changing the masquerade.ini file and the widescreen fix. the latter only crashes the game

The main screen is huge and i cant seem to do anything.

Was playing last night and it was working, today, most proton versions the screen flickers, 6.3.8 I get a black screen for a moment, immediately after the flicker or black screen is up for less than a second, it immediately goes away and the Stop button has gone back to Play. No updates to my OS since then. I've tried different Proton versions, I've tried running in Debian directly(like last night) as well as my Distrobox Arch container, and I've even tried rebooting. Checked for OS updates but there wer...

I can run the game without any mods. Is it completable or is there plethora of bugs? Thanks!
