CC series have souls with 2D. 3D looks bad.

You already had the golden goose, Close Combat was the king of top down 2D real time historical tactical wargaming, you had that crown, the CC concept is solid and the potential for improvement and development of that concept is limited only by your imaginations. The fact that it's 2D is its strength, it meant you could focus on all the other stuff like depth, the mechanics, the AI, scale, more dynamic campaigns etc. But you just had to ignore what everyone else can see and go down the 3D route, the road ...
